Well I wouldn't have guessed that the way he stopped, stared and looked surprised, then immediately turned to grab my hat without saying a word!

Just catching up, but body surfed for years and some of my worst events were in water less the 4' and I am 6'2". I swear I saw the bottoms of my feet once. As a lifeguard for many years, I saved many a bikini top being polite and understanding earned many dates and lots of laughter. Glad you are good.

Yes under 3 feet is so true. I see barrel waves and woosh the tumbling comes back. I wasn't hurt but catching my balance after was very difficult

And sore the next day, I had one stoner wave mail me in the back as I stood in what was quiet water til it ploughed me. So sore almost woozy.

I was dizzy for about an hour after it. My body didn't ache after but I had a few spots up and down my legs that felt like bruises the next day. They never did surface. The undertow was really bad while we were there and I should have paid more attention to the type of wave I was catching. When I saw the wave coming over my head I had a moment of humor because I knew.

Sorry to hear that. My family that was in Daytona with me came down from NC. Our next reunion next summer will be up there.

Do you get to see the wild horses on the beach? I am looking forward to viewing that. I won't disturb them but would love to see it!

Tampa is where I spent my teens and twenties. I graduated and went to college there. Where and what are you presenting if you can say.

Also I am near Shackleford Banks with the horses. And I present to high school families around the country on college planning or career planning. I will start at one of the high schools and probably present on base then go Pensacola area for same.

I taught near there for years and have lots friends from in and around Greenville. I am originally from Fayetteville. Now work with all mil connected families veteran, NG and reserve. In fact going to Atlanta to talk to reserve staff in two weeks. Small world
