Is it odd to like older women so much?

I wonder what is going on these days because I get hit on by men much younger than me also. I'm in my late 40's and I just recently had a 29 year old ask me out. I have dated someone before who was 32. I don't think I could go much younger than that since my own son is almost 20.

I wander if it's a new fad...even if it is, I don't mind! LOL

Its not really a problem, but in the past year, all I want is older women. I've had a few relationhips with teenagers (my own peer group at 19), and it just doesn't cut it now.

I had a few episodes with a friend of mine in a nearby town. Literally the most cliche thing, but just sitting around her house and having a laugh with her as I always do suddenly turned to moving into more sexual-based conversation (how I'm doing with girls, etc) and then... The rest. And this happened a few times, and it was fantastic! Loved every second of it.

I think its the maturity, the experience and generally a more solid outlook on life, intelligence, etc.

Just wondered if anyone else had a real thing for older women. Its literally like I can't look twice at people my own age or younger. Anything from early Twenties, right up to mid/late forties and that, mixed with the above and attractiveness (which they all seem to have with confidence, age, etc), and I just fall head over heels.

Just wanted to know if I'm the only one who enjoys older women a lot more then peers.

Yes dude, I totally agree. I have always been attracted to older women since I was a kid, and never got over it. Women in their 40's and 50's have always been my prefered age range--something about a mature woman who knows herself, what she wants, what she will and will not put up with; one who has come into her own you might say. It is powerful and beautiful stuff. I (just my private opinion here of course) don't think I could ever be romantically interested in anyone under 40.

I love women of all ages, and have nothing against younger women at all--but they have not yet (in most cases) sorted themselves out, and I don't want a project for a long term lover. In fairness, I hasten to add that younger men are (in my opinion) much the same, and have alot of growing to do. Fine. That's part of life--but I want mine with some milleage!

And honestly, some wrinkles and salt-n-pepper hair is way sexy!

29 now and still think women in their late 30's and early 40's seem to have everything figured out. Mostly I think by then they allow themselves to be a bit selfish, which is a total turn on.

I think age difference in a sexual relationship can be incredibly exciting, either way- older/younger, man/woman. And also, I think for people who are more mature, we have both of those personas in us. It can be very powerful for an older person to take on the role of their younger self. Physically looking the part can enhance things as well.

My stepfather is closer to my age...

than my mother's...

There have been awkward moments when it first started and I would come home from college and my mother would sensor what I slept in, but they work.

Now I find myself attracted to younger men and them attracted to me. There is some truth to having a confidence and wisdom that comes with age, (and I am not that old), but also it's a shared attitude and happiness that some older men lose that younger men still have.

Of course the desire for sex does not hurt either because I like to give and receive...

I am sure I will offend some with this statement and obviously there are exceptions, but there is a younger generation out there who while they may be exposed to so much more earlier on than we were are completely clueless and naive in other areas and when they are just starting out or in their first few relationships that is not usually an "attractive" quality.

However, to be honest, I am a fan of whatever works for people. There are enough bad things that happen in the world and enough things that can make you unhappy if you let them.

Whatever works for you and makes you happy go for it as long as you are not hurting anyone or doing something illegal or immoral. You don't owe anyone an explanation. They are probably just looking for happiness themselves.

I think it's probably because an older woman doesn't drag around all the jealousy and drama all the time like many young girls do. We've come into our own with our sexual maturity and know what we like and how to go about getting it. Its always flattering when a man of any age flirts with you, but a younger man really makes you feel good! Plus I think in our late 30's we finally accept who we are and when we are confident, we exude a sex appeal that can not be denied!!

I know for me......That the women who have always turned me on the most have been wise, open minded, sexually free, and capable of giving me the space to feel vulnerable. It's not that age is exclusive factor in this, there are many young women who have and will continue to be this for me........I love young women......

But........

My first lover was older by some twenty years. She demanded that I would recognize and feel comfortable with my vulnerabilities......if fact she was responsible for creating many of them. She was extremely open minded and experimental. I have aways had a thing for older women. When in my early teens had this thing for a longtime family friend who was in early 60's. I often regret never having done anything to indicate to her my feelings although would probably been rejected. She did often cross her legs slowly giving me a great view of your thighs and occasionally shot me a beaver.

I had a guy hit on me at the feed store...two actually....and one was only 25 I think he said. We were chatting over hay bales, he said something about age and I laughed. He asked what was so funny....wasn't I around his age? I could have kissed him! He was very surprised when I told him I was 42. He almost got a $50 tip for that. The other guy makes sure to ask if I'm still married every time I go in...just in case that's changed along the way.

There is certainly nothing wrong with it, or you. When I was 20, my gf was 29. I was in college, and she already had a career. She ran around her house topless. I was like a kid in a candy store.

My wife is one year younger than I am (40), but I am more attracted to her today than I have ever been. I think I have always been attracted women in their 30's & 40's, I just didn't fully realize it.
