Is match.com bullshit?

It's sad that you threw away someone that you had a genuine connection with just because you thought his life was pathetic. He might have been a terrifuc guy who'd just fallen on hard times.

The Target guy also hide kind of a smart-ass demeanor which I didn't like. You just can't tell what a person is really like until you've talked to them in person.

Now, if I were 34, living in my parents basement and had a child, illegitimate or not, I think I'd be concentrating on other things besides starting a relationship online. The guy seemed like he needed to get his priorities straight.

My advice is to stick to the free chat rooms and sites and make friends there. Hooked On Dating Sites doesn't work for everyone!

I met my lover on match.com; we've been together 2 and a half years so far.
Definitely not complaining. :)

Have to agree....

I have commented on this site, that I get more responses from people I write to here...than I did on a dating site. I have to agree with what people have posted on this thread. It seems funny who writes and when they write. End of subscription....then I also agree that when dealing with people anything and plenty of bull.... happens. It's strange...the ones I have met were women that contacted me that I found interested....If I wrote to a woman it didn't pan out.

I met my boyfriend on okcupid.com. It's free and I think it's more fun than just a straight dating site. We've been going out for almost a year now. I'm not sure about match.com. I think diligence and common sense are the most important things to find someone. Good luck!
