Sorry I did not get back in a timely fashion. He's 9 and indistinguishable from his peers at this point. Only the people closest to him like our family, his teachers, his coach, ever notice his uniqueness. He has right side hemiplegia but has been able to recover much of his abilities. He spent his first 3 years in a wide variety of therapies and it seems to have enabled him to adapt.
I would suggest eye hooks in the ceiling could help you to have leverage when pulling or tugging. One thing to remember is that when someone is blindfolded their imagination is the key and you can activate that with simply your voice. I would also suggest that spreader bars and other equipment could be made from lightweight PVC pipes. Plastic ties and a pair of scissors seems more practical than do handcuffs and a key to manipulate.
