We have a new family member...a calico kitten that just showed up one day. She's sweet natured and cuddly...everything you'd want a kitten to be.
Except.
When the other cats put in an appearance, she instantly becomes Cudjo The Bi-polar Kitten. We will be addressing these behavioral issues.

Cats are all strange creatures.
Our little scaredycat has started to defend her territory a bit. She whacks the neighbours huge cat over the head and he kind of accepts it grudgingly and she accepts that he hovers just outside.

It’ll be my second time going. The first book was something I had already read before so I didn’t have to read it completely to be able to participate. Now I’m seeing what this really is about and I think a book club might not be for me.
In theory it is, and I loved the last meeting, but I have a feeling this might become too stressful for me if I have to finish a certain book at a given time. I want to read recreationally as well and there are other things to do, too, and only so many hours in a day.
I promised myself I’d give this a try though, because book talk is so much fun.

My mother had her second hip replacement on Tuesday, and I have been down here with her since Sunday. I'll likely be here for the foreseeable future. I'm rapidly losing my mind, and I'm also exhausted.
If this is what Daddy has to deal with every day in taking care of his dad, I have no right to ever be annoyed with him again for not texting me.

What a challenge. I haven't had to face this with my parents, yet - they are in mid-80s and I imagine the time will come where they need more care.

Thank you so much! My mother is 69 and has had both knees and both hips replaced. I am not looking forward to what my joints will look like in 15 years, lol.

I’m wearing way way way too high heels and way way way too slippery shoes for walking in sleet after having a few drinks. I don’t know how I’m going to make it home. I might fall and crack my skull for realsies.
I think I have to call J and ask him to bring me different shoes to walk down the hill from the tram stop. I did not think my outfit through.

Be careful! High heels only work as spikes in snow, not slush.
