Good music, good company.
Now all I need is a good and it will be a damn good night.
It was a damn good night.
Well congratulations! This made me laugh!
Could have just run around the room a few times shouting "I got laid last night!"
I'm afraid of drowning it, but I also feel like it's stopped growing. Have I drowned it already? Have I not watered enough?
How old is the plant and the soil?
Most plants can't live on water alone. The seed can support the plant for half a year best, then it needs fertilizer.
To get rid of your concerns: water plants from the bottom.

It's just a baby and my first avocado. I only potted it about a month ago and I added a bit of fertilizer in the soil when I first potted it. Before that I had it in a glass of water and it was a slow grower for sure, but now it seems like it's stopped pushing new leaves altogether and hasn't gotten any taller in a while either.
Watering from the bottom would be good, but I'd have to buy a new pot. I'm not sure I'm quite that into houseplants just yet.
How tall has it grown? When it reaches six inches it needs to be cut back to help it branch out. How cold is it where you have it? Avocados don't like cold. If the leaves are turning yellow you're overwatering it. Let it dry before giving it a good soak. I've been experimenting with avocados for awhile and I finally cut one at the right time and seem to have better growth on the fourth plant.
