I do not like the way my bank moves around transactions in my online statement.

I know what day I put funds in, I know what day and in what manner I take funds out. I would really like for them to show in that order.

Right now it looks like I could be running a deficit, but I only ever put in as much as I know I'm going to need so a deficit should never happen. Now I'm going to be anxious, wondering if I made a mistake, until all the transactions that disappeared finally show up again.

Deposits show almost immediately. I think the issue is the end of the day updates when items go from pending to finalized. The pending item disappears, the finalized item doesn't show yet, but the balance still accounts for the transaction making it look like the balance isn't enough to cover outstanding items.

Intellectually I know that's what happens, but it still freaks me out when I log in and have half as much funds as I need and nothing that I know is outstanding is showing as cleared.

I started my first proper vacation in years. A vacation where I'm not gonna "work, but just a less", an actual vacation with zero work!

I even turned off my work phone. I feel naked.

But I've been thinking about getting blonde highlights. I'm having a serious midlife crisis.
