It's Friday! What Have You Learned?

I reckon.

And the worst part is I only got one class in my major before my funding got cut. The rest of the classes were from when some idiot in the registrar's office changed the major I'd specified at the very beginning, before ever actually attending classes, to "Unspecified" before I got the chance. Had to do a semester of gen eds before they bothered to tell me my major was changed on me. So I got two semesters, only one class in my major, and a bunch of crap....and at least ten grand in college-related debts...

That is after completion, right? Here we get a 6 month grace period after leaving school full time and then the hammer drops...

Like I said, you need to pass a income threshhold before the payments start. So, the longer it takes to pass that level of income, the long it takes to pay them. Also, they are going up with inflation while that is happening. One way or another, though, they will get paid off.

Ouch! that sucks, dragon.

*Grabs his shirt collar and yoinks him back*

Say that...

*Extends a finger*

...one more time

Yeah cept I don't need that kind of debt hanging over me, it would stress me out too much.

Bites the extended finger firmly, but not too hard. While grinning.

Education is a powerful tool. You would earn more, Minxy.

I am an academic though so of course I am going to say this...

Yeah cept I need to keep making money while I do it unfortunately :(

And my dad is trying very hard to talk me into a less expensive and far more useless education which isn't helpful, just stresses me more that I might cost the family any money at all >.<

*Pulls my finger free with a scowl and lands a sound slap on his cheek, giggles as the red spreads and I release him and dash off*

HA!

If it wasn't for the sudden screaming of the Blonde Horde for their Daddy, I would reply to that slap, Monique. But you've escaped this time.

Oh, and in keeping with the thread, I have learned that there are some people who should never, EVER be allowed to fill in a Tax return. And some of those people are Tax Agents.

That there are people who thrive on making others unhappy, or just plain old don't care.

That if I get up so late that I put half my clothes on backwards, I should just call in sick.

That cookies have the power to command legions.
(which I kinda already knew)

That you can have a dozen people in an SRP and still have to wait for them to post.

Sweetheart at some point you are going to have to do something for you.

Victory is mine! :D

And they keep telling me Dr J, I wish it was that simple...believe me :(

I've learned that cheap-o cherry cola and 151 do not taste that great together, but I'll be damned if I waste a drop.

I learned that the longer you have to wait before you can have a drink, the more you really want that drink.

It seems that I missed Friday somehow *giggles*

However, this week I learned that spending way less time on Lit and more time in the real world where it truly counts, is a wonderful thing.

I learned that all the time I was spending hiding here was taking precious time away from my son. I know only play when he is sleeping or out with his friends.

I learned a hard lesson to; Time is a constant and can be easily taken away from you with out warning, it is a sin to waste a moment of it.

I also learned that recovering from an illness is tons of hard work and so very very rewarding!

On a lighter note I am leaning to be happy in my own skin:):rose:

I have learned that some sunshine, fresh air and good food just does the world of good for the soul.

That a powercut at 7:15 AM makes for very unhappy kids...

Yea... need I say more?

I've learned that I seem to have a set schedule for breakdowns.
He expects them and waits for them.
Then tells me to get over it.

I've learned that no matter what happens, something is going to happen, whether it be good or bad. Yes I over exaggerated a lot of RL things but at the time, it seemed big. But now that I think about it, I was powerless to stop it and still am powerless to stop it.

So NOW that it's not as bad as I made it out to be, I'm relieved. Life will go on no matter what.

...that I've a 21st birthday party to attend in a few hours, that I'd forgotten about. I can't believe I didn't remember.!.

I've learned that the best time to tell the CEO that you are not pleased with how the company runs is NOT after 2 large drinks at 8 on a Friday night.
