No, it is established fact that use of "Democrat" as an adjective (instead of the correct "Democratic") is a slur. The only reason why some people might believe otherwise is that the right has done a great job of mainstreaming it. But it's still a slur, and it still shows either you've been influenced by the haters or you are actually one of them yourself.
