Joe May Be Off The Ballot In Ohio

This happens to one or the other of party's on a fairly regular basis and most of the time because we all believe in relatively Fair elections, the states will waive the dates and allow the parties to put the person on the ballot. It's only a problem now in republican-run states because of a MAGA nuts
When were the two times this happened?

Of course the GOP not going to bail out the DNC for their big whoopsie out of the goodness of their hearts. It will be a calculated political decision. Guaranteed 17 electoral votes would be nice, but the national backlash could hurt in other states. Trump is leading comfortably in Ohio. I say put Dementia Joe on the ballot!
The Vegetable in Chief!

At worst, this was probably just a trial balloon for LaRose to see if he could get away with it. He won't.
Get away with what? Unlike the Dems he is following his state's laws. But then again the law doesn't mean anything to your kind does it?

It's not a whoopsie, it's stupidity on the DNC's part. Ohio is following their state's laws.

Do you mean like Democrats pushed to keep Trump off the ballot? The law in Ohio is the law. They are free to change their law or the Democrats can reschedule their convention, or a court might intervene.
No, I mean the exact law as this one. Do keep up.

But yes, they need to change the law. That's for the entire state to not have to do this same bullshit every four years.

I know. I was just trying to be nice about it. I think the Ohio GOP will solve the DNC’s problem so that the convention and angry protests can go on as planned.

They solve this same problem every four years because the law is stupid. It's not the DNC's.problem. It's an arbitrary timeframe for no reason in a law that has needed to be removed for decades.

Might be a dumb law but it’s still the law. Maybe the DNC was aware of it and moved forward anyway, figuring the GOP would come to the rescue and/or it doesn’t matter because Biden won’t be competitive in Ohio either way.

A law that is legislated to be not needed every four years is not a law that is needed. I've lobbied for it to be removed every year.

Parties make their own timetable for their convention every four years....it should not impact whether a candidate shows up on the ballot.

It may be closer than you think. Though Ohio has moved more solidly red in the last decade

You know the state better than me. I just looked at the Ohio polls published on RCP and 538.An average lead of 10 points.

Slavery laws? What slavery laws? Who's clinging to what?
It's Sean. His real name is Professor Wilbur P. Fabricateur, the illustrious historian whose imagination runs wilder than a herd of unicorns on roller skates. Armed with a quill sharper than his wit, he concocts historical events like a chef whipping up a gourmet meal. His latest masterpiece? "The Great Slave Rebellion of 1782: The Day Chains Went on Strike." Try and find it at your local news stand.:D

Definitely seems to be the case. There is zero mention of "slavery laws" anywhere in this thread until he brought it up. Then someone else claims it was answered already when I ask WTF he's talking about. 😄

Most likely an understudy of the good professor. ;)
