I don’t think that will happen. They just want him to step aside because his cognitive struggles in public appearances have become a major concern among voters.

I don't think apathy is a major concern this time around. Not being able to tell Hillary from Trump shows just how disconnected most people were in 2016 which honestly is sad but understandable. 2018-22 has shown that Americans are awake which way they are leaning is hard to tell.
The media is doing its job of tearing down Biden very well so there is that. I've never been huge on Biden. We dragged the man back retirement because the Democrat bench is weak as shit and nobody else could feasibly beat Trump. I think Hillary might have pulled it just but not a great risk to run. This year we have Biden as the incumbant and giving up that would be basically handing the presidency to Trump.

Doubt it will come down to a legal question. The pressure from within Biden’s party is building. Today’s news was a gut punch. It’s not going to let up. Kamala Harris is now the odds on favorite to be delivering her acceptance speech in Chicago.

I don't think so. There are just as many of the Dem. elite that want to dump Harris as there are wanting to dump Biden. This is a nightmare of their own making.
They knew as early as 2022 that Biden wasn't up to the job and should have started the "dump Biden" efforts then. That would have allowed them to have candidate debates and open primaries and THAT would have given them a much better chance than they have now.
