Just how short should a short skirt be?

When I wear skirts, I usually go for a maxi skirt or a skirt that is around knee-length. I don’t like the idea of the wind whipping up my skirt. Anyway, I love to see people wearing short skirts, but the idea of their genitals touching a public place (bus seat, etc) grosses me out.

It really depends. I sometimes wear short skirts because I like to show off my long legs. Sometimes I’d rather wear something that allows me to flash just right….

Something smart and straight does it for me. But it's a delicate balance -- too short is vulgar, too long looks like it got paid for by medicare.

For my thinking, a short skirts length depends on the surrounding in most cases. If me and my wife are at home with guests coming, i would prefer her wearing knee length skirt, with a panty inside, just to show off her long legs and give the hints of thick thighs hidden under those skirts. If we are travelling aka on our trip, she should wear a little shorter mini skirt, with a g string panty, obviously exposing her belly button, like an old school slut. I love to show off my slut. The hem of her skirt will be just touching the end point of her butt curve. U know, for plus size ladies, there is a horizontal line where the plump of the buttocks ends. So when she is walking around, that fold of skin should be visible. From front it will be like, mid thigh. And obviously when she is sitting on a chair, she will feel like theres nothing wore on her downpart of the body.

I'm very short with wide hips and thick thighs, so skirts are tricky for me. If they're big enough to fit my fat ass they pool around my ankles. If they're short enough to be mini's they fit like skin across my thighs and ride up my hips.

I'd actually never worn one until about five years ago when I took a job waiting tables at a crappy little backwoods bar. They wanted me braless in a covid mask to cover my face, tiny tops and tinier skirts. I had to buy a wardrobe just for work, which cost me a fortune and with my size and shape was not an easy chore.

I started out with a bunch of pleated plaid mini-skirts and white short-sleeved button-downs that I tied across the flat of my belly, white knee socks and chunky black Mary Jane pumps, but quickly discovered that the less I wore the bigger my tips got, to the point that I was working barefoot in sheer crop tanks that showcased my nipples (and everything else when I lifted my arms), and frilly little white aprons with nothing but me underneath.

I don't think there's one answer to the should-be length of a "short" skirt. It depends entirely on the wearer's height and build and the effect she wants to achieve, and sometimes what someone else wants her to show. "Classy" will never work for me.

Sorry for babbling. 😔

Well, that's a fun visual

IF PEOPLE CAN SEE YOUR ASS CHEEKS WHEN YOU SLIGHTY BEND OVER AT THE WAIST IT'S TOO SHORT.

Now I'm more mature, I never go shorter than just above the knee. As it rides up when seated, it's good to leave a bit to the imagination and not show everything off. Where's the fun in that? It's more exciting to keep people wondering whether it's stockings underneath or tights! ;)

This sounds like my kind of establishment.

The stockings/tights is a great "game" to play, only problem is, you normally never get to know if you were right or not!😘

It's a dump and the clientele is a bunch of bitter assholes who go there to blow off steam. If you're into heads and horns and nudie posters and don't mind misogyny and skunky second-hand smoke...

Well, we need to find you a different establishment, but a similar wardrobe
