I just moved Rocking a Writer into the RP Mortuary... I loved that story so much, but my partner just wasn't happy. :(

I just added a new thread, because apparently I'm a glutton for punishment.

that's also a bit of a euphamism. go read it to find out why :)

I know there are very few women checking out my loft, but I REALLY want to show these off:

I bought some new Christian Louboutins from the madison ave store yesterday! look at them and bask in their awesomeness! (the picture is a link :D)

I have been having a heck of a time getting on here to post. it's actually been over three days since I posted into any of my RP's. I feel like such a bad partner. I'm on it today, I promise!

Here's an actual question about an actual thread that I'm actually working on... technically the whole reason THIS thread even exists. have you guys been reading My Girlfriend's Roommate? It's one of my favorite threads, because it's entirely about one of my favorite taboos. Check it out, if you haven't. I'll wait.

finished? neat. Here's the thing... there was meant to be one more post from each of us before it's finished... but as it sits right now, it FEELS finished. like, there was a little more we were going to add, but I think I like it right now. What do you think, fellow writers? would you say that story has been completed?

I say, that if you feel a story is finished then leave it. You can only do damage to a story by forcing extra pieces onto an ending that was already there. Sometimes it can be hard to know a story is finished, but if it feels that way and you are questioning it, then it is probably finished and you can leave it knowing that it is completed.

The funny thing is that I had some more stuff planned. Not much, just a few more posts... but you're right, if it FEELS finished, then it probably IS finished :)

It could be more awkward if you and your partner don't share thoughts on whether it's done, but if you're on the same page you can both look at it as a success and an opportunity to start a new one! It seems like many a story on Lit (and other forums like this one) fades away rather than really closes satisfactorily. It's one reason I like it if a story idea has a defined end when it gets pitched - If the writing partnership is working well I'd rather close it out and start a new idea with the same partner. If the partnership is not as inspiring you can decide if you want to give it another try.

it's definitely a good partnership.

truth be told, I was going to look at doing the same thing with Rocking A Writer. I know my partner there basically decided he didn't want to work with me there anymore, but I can totally see a way to end it within about two posts each in a way that I thin would be very satisfying. I contacted him, but if he turns out to just not be willing to do it, then I might actually have my partner from My Girlfriend's Roommate take over his part for the final two posts... Just to give the thread closure.

yea, I honestly don't know why I was bragging about shoes in here. I was just SO excited about them. there should be a forum post where girls can just all talk about shoes.

LoL Actually I love them and would like to see them on you, but "hey" thats just me ;)
Just wouldn't want to see you trying to run in them.

Any thread for women to post their favourite shoes will probably have a large male subscription rate lol.

LoL its not like I want to sniff them.
A nice pair of shoes helps accenuate a ladies legs and therefore adds to the overall image.
(that's what I keep telling myself lol) ;)
