Last night came across 1969 Japanese movie, Blind Beast:

Posing as a masseur, blind sculptor Michio (Funakoshi) chloroforms and kidnaps a famous photographic model and hauls her down to his warehouse workshop, intending to create a statue based upon her perfect lines and curves. The young woman’s initial terror soon turns to respect for the artist’s aims, and eventually to burgeoning love for her sightless captor.

Campy at parts but the latter half was interesting with the sexual relationship evolving to include pain, bondage, flagellation, vampirism, dismemberment and ritual suicide.

Jodie Foster & Gary Busey in Carny.

Gary in white face constantly taunting potential 'customers' was so base it was an sadistic art form in itself. The character admits he does it for the buzz not the income, that was cool. No victim in himself. Towards the end a scene involving coerced sexual compliance, bondage and humiliation. Groovy little mind f--k scene as a partial finale . The movie portrays the 'lifestyle' of these nomadic performers as a rolling kinkfest, especially when you consider the tactics necessary to solicit an income.

Ohh such timing Mr Midwestyankee, I rewatched the first half of Sea of Love last night, unfortunately the DVD flaked on me ( stalled started randomly throwing upp subtitles out of sync grrrrrrrr ), though not before the scene where Ellen Barkin comes out of the bathroom wearing the toweling dressing gown, pity when she whipped the belt off they chose not to take the premise further, looked intentional enough for me. She did shove Pacino up against that wall with some real conviction. I so need to resolve the DVD issue sometime today.

About 20 mins into Lady Libertine, even with a brilliant synopsis I suspect strongly it's an profoundly krap movie, the actor portraying the boy/girl "Frank/Frances" is tragic.

Watched an Australian movie, The Book of Revelation last night. It covered it 'all'. Story around a young male dancer whom is abducted by three woman, kept chained and ritually tortured , then released after two weeks. It included scenes of humiliation including forced masturbation, anal rape, physical use of his body, objectification, mindfucks, follow through to punishment for non compliance, removal of bathroom facilities, you name it, these woman did it. Creepiest part for me within the context of all the abuses that took place was what I would define as 'forced affection/intimacy'. In the middle of his time in captivity, one of the woman whom was a part of the team of three ( all whom remained masked throughout ) , crawled up next to him as he is permanently chained to a mat on the floor and just spooned him from behind ( 'cuddled' ), reassuring him she was not there to hurt him. Single worst moment.

After he is released he shuns his old life as a male lead dancer for a prestigious company and goes on a primal fucking spree. Picking up groups of woman in threes together, he seems to have a quest to find the originals. It never appears that he is looking for revenge but in fact wanting nothing more than to emulate what he had when he was still a hostage. Stockholm Syndrome perhaps ? I fell asleep 5 mins before the credits rolled, apparently the 'mystery' is solved then according to IMDb, so I don't know the finale.

There are all kinds of sub plots , some excellent Australian actors ( Greta Scacchi , Colin Friels, Nadine Garner ), even a quite amusing scene where he goes to report " his 'friend' who was sexually abused by three woman" and the police look at him and laugh , asking "and what was the problem ?" . Bittersweet he laughs as well, you know that reaction wouldn't have been the same if the gender of the victim was female. It's fairly Art Haus in style so don't expect a slick thriller. Moderate budget, well made and extremely interesting concepts, some of which are quite tangible from a BDSM perspective.

That was a nice one. I liked "Flower and Snake" and "Flower and Snake 2". The second movie unlike most sequels I think is better then the first. It has a Last Tango in Paris type theme. Since I dance Argentine Tango, I had a little chuckle at the first movie because it involves some pretty extreme BDSM done on a lady who is a professional Tango Dancer. It's funny that the Japaneese view my dance with such high regard that they would want to punish and humiliate a woman who has mastered it.
