I'm really not sure. I've never had the morning after feeling after kissing or any other sexual/intimate act. I really like both the sex and the romance (I even get teary watching/reading emotional scenes), but, apparently, I'm really good at seperating the physical from the emotional.

i could not say either way. i think that kissing is an integral part of sex and heightens the intimacy. it may depend on with whom you are having sex. if it's a hot one night stand, kissing may be too intimate, however, if it is a lover, it may be part of the foreplay for or a layer of a sexual experience. i can't do without it and find a sensual experiences much more intense with multiple forms of mutual lip and tongue caresses.

I think that, generally speaking, kissing is more intimate. But, that's due to the feelings that we put into kissing.

I think that emotionless fucking would be more common than emotionless kissing. When you fuck, you get something out of it. When you kiss, you don't get such an obvious reward. So, we add in the passion to kissing, because that's our reward.

Kissing in my opinion is definitely more intimate of an act than sex. I mean lets face it there is casual sex... which often DOES NOT include kissing at all.
When done right a very intimate kiss includes every detail of sense ... taste, feel , smell, hearing and sight and can often put you to a sensory overload... and that overload can be mind stimulating.
