KISSING? More intamite than sex??

kissing is extremely intimate...I've known women who do lots of sexual things but kissing is a separate thing reserved for serious lovers....

Kissing involves face to face ....sensitive tongues and a mutual willingness...we kissed with abandon in early teens...less the last few years..everything changes but to think back to kissing girls when I was in Jr. High makes me smile and chuckle too.

When I fantasize about intimacy these days I fantasize about the kiss, the returned desire for another person, the honesty, and trust that goes on there.
I've only kissed 6 people intimately in my life. I've been with numerous partners, but I'll only kiss those that a piece of my heart goes to.

Kissing is extremely intimate to me. It is so up close and personal. The first time my husband and I kissed each other deeply was probably the most sexually arousing night of my life, and we didn't have sex. In fact, he later told me that the encounter was better than any sex he'd had. We spent the longest time just kissing, and I was like a limp rag at the end of it. It was incredible for both of us.

There is something so emotional and connective about kissing that is not necessarily found in pure sex.

Edited to add that most of my sexual fantasies involve deep kissing and tongue sucking, and I'm sure that those things will be included in any stories I write here. It is THE best part of sex for me. I have a thing for tongues, both the experience and watching others kiss with their tongues.

So sex with a condom is less intimate than a kiss. But sex without a condom is more intimate than a kiss.

For me, if sex is less intimate than kissing, you're doing it wrong. Assuming we're talking about a real kiss, and not that porn star crap.
But then, I don't have casual sex, and there haven't been any people in my life I'd kiss like that and not go on to have sex with...so I guess the question is moot for me.

I would think kissing/licking/sucking a vagina/cock is more intimate then sex or kissing the mouth

I've actually had a number of arguments about this while co-writing SRPs.

Interestingly, in all cases, my female co-writer didn't understand why my character, the husband, could enjoy watching his wife have sex with another man, but objected to kissing.

I agree. I'm much more selective about who I kiss. Fucking can be less emotional than a kiss.

More intimate... odd true thing for me personally.

If I recall my first real love, we were teens obviously and for me almost 40 years ago, I can exactly recall her kiss. I can almost physically feel her unique kiss, her lips, as I picture it. I cannot really recall a lot about how it felt to make love to her in any other sense, though I am sure it was great. To me that says something about the intimacy and significance of kissing.
