Phew. I was beginning to think I needed to find rocking chair and start looking at cemetery plots. Thanks to Bunny and Misshnd for confirming that 45 is "not that old." I hope you feel the same about 56, my age, and even quite a bit more. I feel like flirting with younger women for quite a while longer.

That said, though, I can understand the sentiment MKK expresses, even if she is older than 18-20. I can understand someone wanting be with / flirt with someone older but not so much older that there are too many ideas and experiences not relevant to both. While that's typically the focus if desire for someone older, it can be a hindrance if the differences are too wide or numerous. It all depends on what she is looking for in an older man.

And I agree with both of you. I don't feel old even at 56, and don't expect to for awhile yet. I do recognize, though, that I am "older" than many more people than I used to be. Perhaps instead of talking about a particular age we should be discussing "age difference."

Mm i absolutely love this topic! It's great to find so many people with the same interests. I always figured that the attractive but older guys i meet don't see me 'like that' and would not be interested in someone much younger, but apparently there's still hope after all.
