In regards to bad acting in porn and unintentional comedy, have any of you checked out porn that is intentionally funny? Basically, sometimes the people making the movies realize where their strong suits aren't (quality writing and acting) and instead go for cheezy comedy. Lots of Digital Playground's movies fit into that category.

I remember one from the 70's I think it was called the Golden Bra. What a great funny movie. At the end there were 20 people in a room all with a gun pointed at another one as each entered. A hilarious scene indeed.

I think porn is too definitive for me, too passive. I prefer words. Even if they're descriptive, there's still room for interpretation, for bringing your perspective.

It's like a great song. It may mean different things to different people and, if it's really great, mean different things at different times in your life.

That doesn't mean I don't occasionally enjoy the gif thread...

Both porn and the written word each has its merits, but I wouldn't say porn is better than erotica. I sometimes prefer erotica because words just appeal to me more than mere visuals. There is something about erotica that is more involving and relate-able for me. I like to watch some porn after reading a good story to enhance the reading experience though. I sort of do a combination of both, but if I had to, let's say give one up, I'd give up porn over erotica.
