ehhhh, I get people here for different reasons.
Some like that I engage with everyone, more than some people do at any rate.
Some are here to see my silliness and laugh or smile.
Some just wanna see the titties and such.
Probably other reasons some stop in...no judgements from me, and I just hope people say hi and have a good time!

well, you are an idiot when you say "Coke" and you mean some other type of soda
but otherwise, you seem a good egg ;)

and thank you...I try hard and give a lot fo my time and such, but really, my thread is maybe steered primarily by me, but its a good thread because of all the really good, funny, smart, pervy people that contribute to it as often as they can...

This whole beverage thing has evolved. Historically, I’d get all midwest passive agressive and say “Soda is from a fountain, Pop is from a can.” That’s a fact. I worked at a place where we made soda. Syrup, Soda Water, If you put in Whipped Cream, it’s a phosphate. (Dunno why)

BUT! I almost never drink POP…I.e. Sugary or fake sugary drinks. I’d guess 1-2x a year. This brings me to the new reality that I drink a lot of Seltzers “LaCroix” as a Michigander would say historically. I generically say “Fizzy water” Because that is what it is. It’s a placebo for Pop or even beer.

I’m not sure how I feel about calling it soda.

I sure as hell don’t call other carbonated beverages Coke. That’s heresy. :sneaky:

I’ll take my useless ADHD musings elsewhere.

the full word is soda pop.
You shorten it to the last word. Some of us use the first word.
I call friends by their first name.
You call them by their last.
Thats a FACT.

Also...another fact. La Croix. Isnt LA - CROY
Its Le/LaCwah. Its fucking FRENCH.

I’m dying. You absolutely know my midwest dialect says LA CROY. (High up nasal tone) Totally indefensible since every single thing here is named by French explorers and/or Indigenous Peoples.

It’s funny I’ve drank that stuff for 35+ years and called it LA CROY.

I just found this write up that dispels that. Surely it’s 100% accurate since its on the internet LOL. I googled it because I thought it was made in DeTroit. False.

I am a first name person. Mine is 5 letters and one Syllable. It raises my hackles when someone calls me by my last name which is the 3rd most prevalent and kinda generic compared to my first.

the word is French. Not the company. IDGAF what some website may say. Unless the founder actually comes out and dispels me, its La-Kwah.
Just like Edinburgh isnt Ed-in-burg...its Ed-in-bur-uh, or Ibiza is Ih-beetha, and Budapest is Buddha-pesht.

I had a tougher time when i first moved to Calif since the words are Spanish not Italian, so a street like San Vicente was not San Vi-chent-ay, it is San Vi-sent-ay

Haha, yeah Ive thought about it before but Ive mentioned podcasts to lots of ppl (on here even!) and no one seems to listen unless its about something super specific...or the person is a celeb. I mean, if its about a specific sport, or perhaps a book or tv show to dissect, or maybe you know, Smartless or Joe Rogan (hurl) or some sort of daily news thing, or if yer Conan...ok...but...Im not any of those.
And while i think I'd do ok, I couldnt get guests...as much fun as it would be to interview...Lewis Hamilton, or Shohei Ohtani, or some politician, or an author, movie star, whatever...ya know? I got no credentials!

All that said, I was interviewed on a podcast once :)
