Congressman John Lewis, civil rights legend, has passed away at age 80 from pancreatic cancer.

Personal note: I had the pleasure of sitting next to Congressman Lewis on a flight from Washington to Atlanta once. He had the window seat, I had the aisle. We had a pleasant conversation that was continually interrupted by people leaning over me to ask him for his autograph. He apologized to ME for his overzealous fans!
