29 is almost 30.
27 is not.
And i actually liked the way my parents raised me.
That's why you still live with them.

You need to take some people's posts as a bit of tongue in cheek humor. You learn to let it roll off, after a while.Whoa, I'm not jumping into anything. I wanted to talk. That's it. And not the kind of talk that means more. Just talk talk. No meeting, no calling, no nothing but chat. Thank you all for the advice, I'm keeping it in mind believe me. And whoever called me a kid... I'm almost 30 lol I'm not naive either. I'm not trying to have anyone teach me anything. Just trying to get a collection of one's opinions... of what submissive is to them. That's all. I think of it as being a journalist in a way. Minus the paper. And i actually liked the way my parents raised me.
Yes, I agree you should listen too, Edith. And don't roll your eyes at me!Ahhhh fuck, there's some proper good advice on this thread that I should really fuckin listen to myself.
Good luck with your exploration OP![]()

I've never done anything remotely d/s.
It's a whole new world to me, never yet explored.

Your words.
Really?
Naive: having or showing a lack of experience, judgment, or information.

As for thinking this conversation between you and a dom is like being a journalist, I hope you don't take what you get from your talk and equate it to BDSM as a whole. Unfortunately, that's often done in the real media. I hope you see this guy's opinions just like you say, "a collection of one's opinions... of what submissive is to them", because I don't know if I'd agree with what he has to say. I don't try to speak for everybody in BDSM, just myself.
That's the thing. You talk to one person about their version of BDSM and you'll only get one person's version. I still say your best bet would be to read for yourself, and decide what your version would be. There's no cookie cutter version of BDSM. That's partly why many of us like it so much. We don't have to be somebody we aren't. I hope you find what you're looking for.
I do plenty of research to be inexperienced but not stupid
You've missed the point. "Naive" is not an insult, nor is there an implication that your are stupid. You are, by your own admission, inexperienced and uninformed about BDSM, which makes you naive.
There's no shame in it. We've all been naive. As far as I know, no one comes out of the womb with a set of handcuffs and a riding crop, lol.
With a few exceptions, the comments on your thread are meant to help you and to keep you from putting yourself in the kind of situations we see too many new people put themselves in. That is all.
