If you could take an unexperienced sub and mold them, what traits would you look for? what skills would you teach? Is it possible/plausible that a Dom(me) would even want to start with such a blank slate?

Well, I am no longer in those ranks. I never liked the closet much anyway.

On our recent romantic / kinky trip he told me he does not now nor has he ever considered himself vanilla.

He says he has always considered himself kinky.

Now I just have to love it when for once, a miscommunication goes in my favor!

VanessaCarolyn... Don't worry about your posts, I've seen nothing that even resembles disrespect so far. Another option is to check out some other sites that do have some of the history of BDSM that Richard speaks of.

Also in my personal opinion, there is no right or wrong answer when it comes to a person's own sexuality be they vanilla or kinky. Each person must make their own choices and be able to live with those choices for the rest of their life. Submissive, slave or whatever title a person gives themself on the "bottom" as well as the dominant, it's all the same, each has to make the decision that's right for them.

As for the other sites I mentioned, in the library there is an old thread where people posted their favorite links. A conglomeration of topics are linked, last time I looked at the thread there were some dead links, but patience will prevail. Good luck in your research, it's nice to see someone WANT to find out about BDSM before they sit down and write a story about it. Thank you!
