MAGAs try to pass a budget

Hakeem Jeffries today: "Let me be clear -- House Democrats will not provide a single vote to this reckless Republican budget. Not one. Not one."

The Republicans have the majority. Whatever happens with the budget, the Republican will own it.

Republicans now waffling on if there will be a vote tonight. Seems 3 hard no's and a bakers dozen of sceptical on the bill.

You gave them too much credit.

No worries:

From the article:

WHAT SPENDING CUTS DOES THE BUDGET BILL CALL FOR?

The resolution doesn’t specify where spending will be cut, and instead establishes topline numbers House committees would be required to adhere to in writing legislation to lay the spending framework for Trump’s agenda for the various areas of government they oversee. The Energy and Commerce Committee, which handles Medicaid policy, for example, is tasked with finding $880 billion in cuts, leading some Republicans to raise concerns that the cuts are only achievable by significantly slashing Medicaid spending.

😳

😑

🤬

Things are going to get veeeeery ugly veeeeeery soon.

We. Told. Them. So.

It looks like Republicans are going to chop Medicaid AND SNAP ("food stamps") to fund Musk's tax cut.
This will not end well, even in the red states.
In the midterms, we're gonna have such a blue tsunami as has not been seen since FDR! No Pub's seat will be a safe one!

Republicans just now passed a budget that would cut SNAP benefits ("food stamps") to $1.60 per person per meal.
It also approved INCREASING the tax cuts for billionaires by $278,000 per person.

Could you live on a food budget of $4.80 per day?

White trash America is seriously fucked.....but this is what they voted for.

$1.60 per meal???

It’s doable…

The meals just won’t be healthy, varied, or satisfying…
