I think that someone is just trying to justify something and get away with it. Some people think nothing is cheating unless there is some emotional attachment, but I go by one simple maxim: What a person says, does, etc. defines who and what kind of person they are. So what kind of person tries to justify or get away with something like that? What does it say about them?
