There's really only two possible answers to that, incredibly stimulating company and witty banter of a high caliber.... or we're all too stupid to go to bed when we should.

If it's a 12 hour one, I think a 1 or 2 hour overlap is not a problem, especially if you need to get some sleep. they usually leave a lot of buffer room in the dosages for those folks who don't believe in following directions.
