Mischief Makers - Reborn

I love the mountains...went on a roadtrip to Utah and passed through. My Lord are they beautiful! Be sure not to work yourself to death before you get to go on vacation, y'hear? :p:D

I did Brice Canyon many moons ago when I did a tour of the four corners with a girlfriend. Would go back in a heartbeat, but not sure my kiddos would be as enamored. First I have to survive two weeks in Denver... hopefully all that snow is gone before I show up on Monday. It’s one thing to play in it... I hate driving in it.

Have you got anything fun planned for a vacation this year?

I grew up and live in an area with plenty of the white stuff every year, so I know how to drive in it. I just don't like being around others that drive in it, because, without fail, every single first snowfall, everyone is all "what the fuck is this white stuff?!" and goes insane on the roadways.

I'm going to the Bahamas this fall, so there's sun, sand, and clear blue water somewhere in my future! :D

Aruba sounds darn good too!! :D And somehow, the native island food and drink tastes better after a day in the sun and seawater than if you have it anywhere else.

So true.

*taking slow sips of her margarita as she people watches*

You know it’s bad when the wait staff know your drink order before you sit down...

I’m in Denver for the next two weeks and have been walking to the same restaurant every night for dinner. Will be here again next week as well.

Sadly work, although I got to leave work early for the first time today. Of course I have to be up before the crack of dawn tomorrow to head home for two days before turning back around.

Just enough time to do laundry and other chores - yay

Hope your week has been a good one.

Yay for running around! My week's been good so far. Every morning getting up to having whole bean, fresh-roasted (within a month) coffee to grind every morning so far has helped! :D

Home again, home again.... so good to be home. Hopefully no more travel for at least another month but will depend on my customer. He was talking about a trip in April but am hoping spring breaks will push it to May

Fresh roasted coffee sounds delish. I do have to admit that I’ve been drinking more tea than coffee this last week or so. Easier to find / prep at hotels.

Now to figure out what to do now that I’m home again.

Here's to a restful month! I will admit, I'm spoiled when it comes to coffee. I'll drink hotel coffee if I have to, but man what a difference truly fresh, whole bean coffee has!

I'm sure you'll be able to find something to do with your free time :D

Hoping you survived tax day... I’m done and shockingly enough I’m getting money back which means I need to figure out what I did wrong to give the govt an interest free loan.

I’m off for the rest of the week. Apparently the powers that be don’t like the fact that I’m on track to take the entire month of October off (paid). Got to sleep in (ohmigahd that was a treat) and am now jotting down all the stuff I want to get done around the house/ yard. Of course I don’t want to do any of it but I can’t be totally lazy...

What to do, what to do?

Yep I survived relatively painlessly. I've been busy busy with a new QA tech job, so at least that's keeping me out of trouble.

I'm a huge Marvel fan, so Avengers:Endgame was the highlight of last week for me. Oh, and it always feels amazing to get 8 hours of sleep when I need it! I have energy again lol

Got to enjoy sunny Florida for a company offsite (with an extra day for vacation). Should have paid attention to the fact that I was the only one not under an umbrella. Girls got a wee bit pink but not too badly. Darn office job makes it hard to get a good base tan this early in the season.

Nice! You're further along than I am at this point! Shouldn't be too much longer and I'll have to be mowing my lawn...that's when I can get away with getting sun over 90% of me lol

I’m already tired of the mowing, although I guess I’m more fed up with the battle I’m waging against my neighbors’ encroaching weeds. Might have to get a lawn service this summer until the darn things are under control.

Yeah, mowing's been a thing for a few days now, and I just got more rain. My lawn will look like something out of Jumanji before too long!

Am seriously thinking of that lawn service for the summer. My neighbors’ yards are sucking up my free time! Had a new roof put on last week - thankfully with minimal out of pocket expenses for me.

I’m soooooo tired of adulting. I need more escape time. :D

Amen to more escape time! I just got off of work an hour ago, and it's 12:30A.M. now. I'm bushed! Thankfully I have the rest of the week off starting Friday, and get to go do some shenanigans for three days! :D

Shenanigans sound awesome. I wish you luck in finding / making some.

I just got back from a killer TDY to Colorado. Am a bit bummed that I didn’t get time to meet up with some friends who moved back there nor go hiking, but hopefully will have more downtime later this month when I go back.

Trying to sweet talk my way into resurrecting some story lines. Keep your fingers crossed for me.:D

I'd reserect the story we started with you if you're up for it.
have missed you.

I hear CO is pretty :)

*jumping up at the sound of a familiar voice and rushing over to give him a big hug and kiss on the cheek*

Glad! I haven’t see you in ages..... how the heck have you been?!

Strong elven arms catch her and return her hug. "You know up and down the usual, was hospitalized a month ago, but seem to be doing much better now that I got better blood pressure meds." smiling. "It has been ages, hasn't it? we seem to have missed one another of late."

He moves to flop on a couch, "Even put up an intro to a new story, awaiting a response, so even writing again. Turns out I haven't forgotten how."
