I’m not the type of girl who enjoys being burnt on the beach… I’d rather be wearing a light jacket and sweater, walking in the snow hand-in-hand with someone I love (this trip it was my best friend).

The snow is rather beautiful. I’m missing seeing it coating my surroundings. I don’t miss what it does to my joints, though. My neck hasn’t been happy - and that just makes me worry so I’m focusing on other things and hoping my fingers on the left don’t start to sting more than they’re numb...

Yeah, I don’t miss breaking the top of troughs like when I was a kid. I can see hating that side of winter. It’s easier to focus on the positives like warm blankets, hot drinks, and cuddling when you don’t have the chores breathing down your neck.
