Moochie’s Mementos (and a pic or two)

Numb

The tingling feeling
Long since gone
Just a sinking
Deeper into the cold
Of self-preservation
Trying not to let
Fingers wander over
Filed memories filled
With what ifs
And heating regret
Pulling emotions back
To a place where
No one can touch
Until you reach out
Once again
Eerie....the poem is like rolling down a hill....and at the bottom there is a woman in the water......The Lady in the Lake, perhaps...

Oh I love a pretty girl in a dress. This image makes me want to do a number of things; the repeatable ones are, to grasp your hand and walk with you, whilst talking the nonsense that enraptured people do; enfolding you in my arms, hugging you so tight that I almost crush the air from your lungs, and playing with your fabulous hair as you lay your head in my lap, my back against a tree, as we both look up at the leaves falling about us in an autumnal blanket, your mouth turned up at the corners in that beautiful smile of yours.....
