I’ve played D&D,
Written terrible LOTR fanfic,
Made an entire Quidditch outfit,
Watched every Star Wars (yes even the prequels) in a weekend,
I LOVE graphic novels/comics,
I carry a pocket protector at work,
And I’ve even dressed as a nerd for Halloween once

Last night, I watched the new Spider-Man -
You know, the 2+ hour Tom Holland meets Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield one?
And I wore this
Because I am proudly
A fucking nerd queen.

I’ll get you a cape and a tiara.

I can’t function at work without my pocket protector! Does that make me weirder than the people who can’t go without their fanny packs? I thought about getting one, but I have pockets for a reason. The doc last night made fun of me for it, then when he asked for a pen I said “oh? Now my pocket protector and it’s contents are not something to laugh at, are they?!!?”

So I actually have a story about finding this story: I just started watching some tiktok videos and I found a channel that reads kid’s books ala Reading Rainbow and all of the books have something to do with being different or having some kind of odd thing about a main character that isn’t “acceptable” in everyday society- the book that made me follow the channel was called “my Auntie Uncle” about a person who received an award because during a pride parade they, while dressed in drag, saved a dog from being run over and a float from being ruined. There have been some real gems, but this one in particular couldn’t go without being shared.

I’m glad you enjoyed it.

where did you get the tree frogs from?

They were from around… the last addition, Barry, was found while blackberry picking with the kid. They’re all over and make their way into the tank as pets sometimes.
