my new tattoo

tattoo

i need to get about six more or so..... anybody anyone of you recomend

Just beautiful artwork, everyone.. I plan to get a pentacle with ivy leaves on my neck some day, and an ornamental tree on my back.. And somekind of serpent tattoo on my arm... and... and... *drool*

I'll add mine to the collection

I really liked the phoenix, that's a very symbolic creature.

Here's one of my tattoos. She's my angel, always over my shoulder. She's clad in torn innocence, like I try to cling to mine. Her tattered wings suggest imperfection as does her non-anorexic figure. She's more real. She represents my sweet side. Her head is downcast because she's my fallen angel, just as my sweet side has had to be put aside at trying times. I hope you like it.

Yours, Ian

That is a gorgeous tat!!! Thanks for sharing with us.

What Des said...WOW!

I was/am thinking of getting a personally-significant tat, but three things prevent me from doing so: no local tat parlor; co$t; and the fact that I'm an under-weight (though not anorexic), boney bird (PAIN!)

Here is an update of the first colouring sitting. There will be likely two more sittings...one to finish the colour on the bird (it is about 60% done) and another to do the moon and background because I have yet to find the background mist or the star I want.

I was pretty bummed, I wanted to finish the bird colouring today, and we had planned to, but I took some meds yesterday that thinned my blood out, that combined with too much caffiene, not enough rest....I ended up bleeding a lot, which is VERY odd for me. My other tattoo's I didn't bleed at all. So she decided to stop and leave the rest for another session when I had better prepped myself for it, sigh. Oh well, it still looks awesome half done. There is all of the highlighting, some blending, the breast/beak/eye area left to do yet, and the rest of the shading of the purple. The head area has some yellow/coral in it, and the eye has a pinprick of blood red. Those of you familiar with Phedre`will understand ;)

Picture isn't that great, my hubby can't use a digicam properly to save his life.

This is one of those selfish, nothing to do with anyone but me and my need to show off my new tattoo posts. Although if anyone else wants to show off theirs in this post as well, please do, I really do love looking at tattoos.

This is only the line work, the rest comes in a few weeks or a month, depending on how I heal. It was a glorious 3 hours of pain, I was loving it. Except the part where I fell asleep...

The finished piece will have a full moon orb in the spot where the tail curls up, with a half-moon(man on the moon) inside the full moon orb, all done in greys and blues, with a north star right above the moon, and a scattering of twinkly yellow starshines and blue/grey mist to complete the background. The phoenix itself is mostly purples and aquas and blues, with a bit of yellow and crimson in the head and endtails.

I'm very much in love with this piece and its significant meaning to me, so just had to share, thank you for indulging me <G>

Great tat!! Congrats!! It's nice when it has meaning to you. i've asked a lot of people about their tats or piercings and many of them don't have a reason and very few of them have signigicant meaning. Good for you!!

What an absolutely gorgeous tattoo serijules, congrats! The colors and detail you describe sound perfect too. Please post another pic when it is finished, I'd love to see it. Thanks for sharing, I love looking at tattoos too.

I know everyone has already seen mine, but here it is again. It is on the small on my back, right in the center.

This is the first time I've seen it, and it's beautiful, il mio angelo. (Does the Italian translate as: to my angel?)

Serijules, your new tattoo is absolutely stunning. The duck is adorable, too.

Etoile, your tattoo's are great! Bunny, yours is just too cute for words.

Here's mine:

Very nice tat, chicklet!

I've recently considered getting my first tat

but I don't know what I'd choose as a design. I'm also quite skiiny, so the pan of the process would probably be unbearable. There's also that 'How will I feel with this tat when I'm 80' thing. Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, there are no parlors within short driving distance.

It's stunning... indeed a pheonix of kushel's own choosing.

Mine didn't hurt at all. I was all slumped over in the chair backwards with my eyes closed tryin' to catnap! Thinkin' about getting his "prey" done on the left shoulder!!!
