My Story Is No Longer Listed?

Nah, I'll steal one of Shang's. Since we're going to duel anyway - shall we say pistols at dawn? - I might as well give him sufficient cause to strike me down like this in the prime of my life, leaving my poor widow all alone to care for our eleven children in our one-room, unheated, plumbing-free hovel here in, um, Mongolia. Yeah, that's where I am, Australia. Slovenia, that's it. Slovenia.

See ya tomorrow, Shang.

Pistols at dawn it is. What's the Slovenian equivalent of Hyde Park?

Feel Free to steal any story of mine without a red "H" next to it.

Seriously though, I haven't found anything. I should probably start a new thread on this so we can all find out.

You'd probably get an answer quicker by PMing Laurel. Just a thought.

I'm gonna have to Google that and get back to you. Don't wait for me, though. You go ahead and I'll meet you there.

does this place have a back door?

This seems to be an awfully reasonable question. Are you sure you're in the right thread? They stopped selling beer on this one at the end of the third quarter.

I assumed that the author's account was simply the "Literotica Control Panel" that you access from the "Login" page. Where you find out how many folks have viewed your story and voted on it, and access their comments. But I confess that I didn't know that messages (other than story rejection) are communicated there. Perhaps I simply haven't received any such messages. I'll try harder. May I steal one of your stories to see what happens?

Ahh, I'm glad I'm not the only one who wondered if AttaGirl should have known where this mail was. I mentioned that in post #48, but, of course, when I brought it up, it was cause for a Blitzkrieg.

The only place I've ever found PM's indexed is here on the forum page. If there's a mechanism to be informed when one has come in, I'm unaware of it (and AttaGirl might have been as well). And, as I said, she might not come to the forum--might just submit stories.

Considering I've PM'd Laurel four times, all very courteous and polite with reasonable questions etc, at the advice of others no less and have never received a response or even as much as a confirmed message receipt, I won't bother her anymore. She's obviously too busy to deal with the lowly likes of me.

I've never had a Blitzkrieg, but according to www.drinksmixer.com, the recipe is as follows:

1 oz Rumple Minze® peppermint liqueur
1 oz Jagermeister® herbal liqueur
1 oz Goldschlager® cinnamon schnapps

Place the liquors in seperate shot glasses. This is a series of shots; first shoot the Rumple Minze, then Jägermeister, then Goldschläger. Do them fast, and they are very smooth. Afterwards, you will initially just taste the cinnamon of the Goldschläger, but then the Rumple Minze's peppermint flavor seems to make a return, and it tastes like you just ate a mint.

Of course, that was before we stopped serving alcohol on this thread. So no more Blitzkriegs. Sorry.

While I'm here, though, who wants some Cracker Jacks?

Yes, there's a mechanism, although you have to have it enabled in your options, I believe. You'll get an email to the account you registered with telling you that you have a private message:

I love Cracker Jacks!

Candy coated popcorn,
Peanut and a prize,
That's what you get in Cracker Jacks!

Now I'll have that jingle in my head all afternoon.

I wish I had some Cracker Jacks. <sigh> :(

Oooo... will you pour me one, Marsh? Or are you still pissed at me?

That's got to be a misnamed drink. Blitzkrieg is definitely a warrior's drink name. I mean peppermint, cinnamon, and herbal anything mixed together? Give me a break.

Fine. We'll make yours a Boiler Maker.

That's OK, thanks. I'll stick with the Yellowtail Shiraz I started with this evening.

And today I'll switch to coffee--because that was an awfully big bottle of Shiraz.

Oh, and I was wondering how long it took for a story to post. :nana:
