Nasty Anonymous Feedback

I love reading this forum.....

I absolutely delight in reading some of the posts in this thread. When I first started it I was angry and needed to vent. The anger is gone but the thread is still going.

I'd like to thank everyone who has sent a supportive email as well as those of you who have offered insightful, constructive feedback even if you don't care for the stories I write.

It's also nice to know that I'm not the only one who feels this way about nasty anonymous feedback.

Yep it amazes me how morally judgemental some of the comments tend to be. It makes one wonder why they go through the trouble to type out such un substantiated critisism unless they are religiously driven. Then of coure if that is the case did they miss the part in the bible where it say's "Judge ye not lest ye be judged in return."

Then realize they are reading the erotica and due for a ticket on the fiery horn express themeselves.

Keep your chin up! It helps keep it out of your eyes.

Ive been a professional writer for 27 years and believe me, I've developed a thick skin. But even I've been shocked by the downright hatred that has greeted my first story post here. I don't understand why people who would be offended by a certain type of story would even choose to read it. I was hoping for constructive criticism rather than name-calling. It makes me wonder how many of these anonymous posters are merely frustrated writers themselves who don't have the guts to put their stuff out there -- or the drive and determination to actually sit down and write a story from start to finish. Frankly, it has me wondering if membership in this site is going to be what I expected. How do other writers feel?

Erm, I have to say I've never received any crazy feedback. A couple of quibblers who weren't completely appreciative, but somehow I've never pushed the wrong buttons. I gather it comes from the content of the stories: certain buzzers (adultery, condoms, whatever) set off the loonies.

Yeah, I think you're probably right about that, certain things do seem to set certain people off. And in the end it doesn't really matter anyway. People either like what you do or they don't.
