New Life As A Slave

i realize that some people find that activity erotic...however the way it was put, it sounded more like he was getting into something that he 1. didn't quite understand or 2. wasn't read for...i was just expressing my concern (as others have also done) that he didn't seem to be all that happy with the situation...if you don't find any joy in something like that, then why do it? If it's just a matter of him needing to hear from others in a similar situation, that's fine...i just wanted to make sure that he wasn't getting himself in over his head. As i put before, i may be wrong...but it just sounds like a not-so-safe situation.

That is why I asked him if he had read and understood the contract. I will never understand why someone will sign the D/s contract without understanding the implications and responsibilites included therein.

*nodds* i've decided that all people are stupid and that the not stupid ones are not really people...that way, if someone does something like that, i can just go "gah! people are so stupid!" and not have to specify to the people around me that i wasn't talking about them...

did that make ANY sense at all? i tend to ramble...

because they romanticise it, think it isn't literally meant that way and all in all it seems to be a "safe way to a lay" (excuse my poetic license here)

Well, I agree with you there. Fantasy takes over, and reality escapes notice. Until reality included something not fun like being chained to the floor.

being chained to floor isn't ALWAYS not fun...i think it has to depend on the situation...

I am talking about when a slave appears to be complaining because they did not read the fine print.

oh, i know that, i was just putting in my little side comment...not to be saying your wrong. that's why i was saying not always...i'll shut up now >.<

Re: Re: Re: Re: New Life As A Slave

Anyone who would allow themselves to be chained to a floor probably needs to be. I don't believe the post in the first place. If someone is that subjugated they won't be going to work or using a computer. Why chain someone to the floor at night when they walk out the door to go to work the next day?

And the original poster hasn't returned to the thread, you might notice. Maybe that fire happened after all.

I have seen a few of your posts and some make sense but I have no idea why people, including yourself, sign their posts. Do you realize you filled out several lines of a signature that go on every post? Also you have an avatar. And add to that your forum name appears above your avatar. It goes along with people quoting entire posts and then referring to one line of it.

Yes, that was an aside.

Did everyone notice my name is Rocket88?

Romantization of D/s

I have a friend in a very similar situation. She had never been involved with any D/s before, met and began a relationship online with a very Gorean Master. She was collared to him for several years online and it was all beautiful and romantic, a fantasy. Now she is living full time with him and its a whole different ball of wax. She bitches almost daily about his treatment of her, like a slave!!! She hates it when he goes "all dominant" on her. When I ask her if he had decieved her or misrepresented what he expected of her, she says no, she just didn't think it would be "like this".

This is one of the problems I have with online D/s relationships, especially with someone who has no r/l experience. I know it doesn't always turn out this way but its human nature to romanticize and forget about hard reality.

Respectfully
beany

I like how you over-react emotionally to a question and then fail to give any answer. I really don't know why poeple sign their posts when there's a signature and an avatar and your name. Can anyone explain?

And if it were your server you'd ask why people quote a whole page of a reply to respond to one line. We just read it all. Are you making a general point? If you are making a specific point it's lost by posting something we could scroll up to see. Just blowin' that bandwidth, I guess.

The thing is, there are some people on slow connections or with crap computers who would appreciate not having to download 25k of text just for you to say "lol ur kewlies."

perhaps because she's giving everyone a shorter name by which to refer to her. after all, in cyber space, abbreviations are the next best thing to sliced bread.

Maybe its a hold over from snail mail, even though your name and address are on the envelop and whoever is reading it knows its from you, you still sign at the bottom.

Anyway, no one actually calls me MasterKensbeany, they just call me ....

Well, the question wasn't asked of me, but I sign my posts for a number of reasons.

1) The option is there... obviously, it is meant to be used. :p
2) It is another form of expression, allowing me to add information about myself that I want to share with my fellow posters, in whatever form I choose.
3) Because I like seeing what other posters share there, and want to contribute in my own way.
