I'm not looking to replace him, and I'm sure many here are also faithfully and fully connected to a spouse or SO. I hesitated to participate in the forums at first, not wanting to make personal connections and finding "favorites" with whom I prefer to interact with, or who prefer to interact with me. I'm not looking for a cyber partner to "sit in" for my husband when he cannot fulfill my needs. I'm looking to have fun on my own, without having to come up with the stories on my own.

Indeed there are many of us who are happily married here. This is a great community that has plenty of opportunities for adult conversation and friendships for those who aren't looking for sex or romance; most are very respectful of established relationships and the desire for interactions to remain platonic, as long as they're aware of them. Like anything else, Lit is what one makes of it.

It's funny, my being shy. I'm not, really. I just wasn't always - large. KWIM? But, birth control, a McDonald's job, and two kids in 15 months will do that to ya. Time to get it off, but my main issue is WHEN. Not how, so much as when. (I lost 70 pounds in 7 months when I was engaged. And yes I'd already given birth once. I was 142 at my wedding.... Oh, to be under 200 again....)
Anyway, it just struck me that the pose in your AV - as you say, took me a sec to figure it out but I got it now - the pose is probably safe even for me. My "bad area" is my stomach, and when I'm lying that way I know my hips have issues, but the angle of the camera in your photo would hide even that I think. (Okay, you got me. IRL I do just a dabbling in photography. Just a little tiny dabbling - not enough to have thought of the pose on my own, just enough to recognize that it's a lot the pose that makes it a great pic.)

I've been lurking around on Lit for a few years now, reading some great stories and advice on forums, even tried to post the odd personal ad once in a while, occasionally encouraging others to hope for their dreams to come true. All in all, I never felt truly comfortable though with spending time here, despite the fact that I enjoyed the deliberating effect of it immensely. Residual guilt still kept me from being very active or overly consistent in my presence on these boards.

As time passed I realized that suppressing needs and desires does little good for my personal balance, so I took the ever so famous leap of faith and here I am, off to a new start!

I hope that my opinionated and sexy self will have an opportunity to unfold here without insulting or scaring away anyone. Overall, I'm a nice and caring person who appreciates respect very much, even with a paddle in hand, and hope to be able to get in touch with some friendly people, sharing a few fun, a few useful and even more steamy ideas. ;-)

About the geographic locations, I have no idea. I'm sure that someone who does know will help you out with it, though. Lit is filled with friendly and helpful people.

Not really, because people fill in their own location, which results in too many variations for an accurate search.

However, most countries, regions, states or large metropolitan areas have threads in The Playground, Personals or General Board, so members from the same areas can find each other and connect. Your best bet is to search for those types of threads, and just keep your eyes peeled as you browse and post on the different boards.

ETA: There are certainly a ton of NYers and members from the East Coast here, so you shouldn't have a problem finding others in your area!

HI everyone! I'm the new girl and I still have no idea what I'm doing yet, so I beg for your patience. I'm just trying to become familiar with all this site has to offer and determine where I fit the best.
