I will tell you this, I much prefer to see things like "you" written than "u." I usually write off people that won't bother with a few extra letters, though I know net speak is popular with some these days. It's not with me. I find it irritating and difficult to read. A simple spell check program helps out a lot even if English is not your first language. I think you present yourself better when you bother to make your posts with this kind of care and thought.

The point of the 100 posts-for-an-avatar rule is this: the picture files for avatars take up a great deal of bandwidth as they are moved back and forth from Lit's servers to the members' computers. With well over 250,000 members, Lit needs a great deal of expensive bandwidth to operate. Many, many people sign on to Lit and never make more than a few posts to the bulletin board so limiting avatars to those people who become active forum members saves a ton of money for Lit's operators. i checked it, too many fake people from india listed to increse the traffic.

The women you see on the right side of CollarMe are computer generated advertisements. They are not part of the CollarMe site.

The real people who have signed up for the site are in the middle of the search results screen.

Many people I know in person have ads on CollarMe, and I have met several subs from that site myself.

However, it seems most people on CM are looking for real-life relationships.
