Yes, corded would be an issue. I've never purchased a corded toy. I'd like a rechargeable toy though. Usually it is just batteries that are rechargeable that I buy.

Toys - I absolutely love sex toys. Not food as sex toys though.

I'm guessing since the "formality" of the party is over, when you're packing up, they become slightly more comfortable, thinking the other guests really aren't going to know what their buying because their getting ready to leave to. The focus is taken off the party and the guests, so their comfort zone is a little more expanded.
I've never attended a party like that and probably couldn't if I wanted simply because one it would be thrown by a family member, because that's who I know outside of online friends, the one friend outside of Lit., she'd be a joke at a party - no one would ever want to host one for her ever again. lol I'd also be that guest that loved everything, but could purchase nothing.
Maybe I do need that anonymous donation fund set up. lol

You should put together a Kickstarter campaign. For everyone who donates $5 you could offer to say their name out loud during climax - they'd have to take your word for it, obviously, but it's worth a shot.

I can see where over-stimulating can become an issue. I'll admit, now that I'm without my vast collection of toys, I'm back to using the fingers, which is good, mind you, but takes longer, which is also good - - -I guess. lol
If you want to force yourself to wait, get a timer and set it up so you can play for one minute, or two, then you have to stop for one or two. If you're coming within those one or two minutes, then stop faster and wait longer before "allowing" yourself to play.
Discipline yourself, then after doing this for a few minutes, pick a time that you're finally going to go all out and no more stop and go torture to yourself.

I was power washing my deck when the hose to the power washer somehow got between my legs on the stairs and made contact with upper thigh area.... I just about jumped out of my shoes... the second time it happened I was like ohhhhh thats why woman love toys so much....
