I just clicked Submit on "One Night in Dubai". There won't be any more time to polish it tomorrow, so I'll have to trust that it is as good as it can be. Thanks to NotWise for the beta feedback, and to Desperado1775 for the first-hand info on a city I've only read about. Thanks most of all to ChloeTzang. I'm really very happy with how this story turned out, and if it weren't for this event, I doubt I would have written it.

I can recommend Loqui's story. I found it hard to put aside. For me, that's about as good as a story gets.

Aaaaand all stories due to be submitted by midnight Sunday altho if you’re late it could maybe be stretched. I think Xanadu will be it for me. Still editing and short on time for Roanapur but we will see. Thanks a million to everyone whose put time into this. Looking forward to it.

Finished but time to edit?
I finished my story last night but now I only have two days to edit, this seems to be what usually happens. I am also struggling with what category to submit my story in. The bulk of it is the two characters dealing with a zombie outbreak but it also has them having sex for the first time. I'm leaning towards the erotic horror but have never submitted in there before.

Finally... finally I got "One Night in Xanadu" submitted. Roanapur comes next, along with my incredibly late On the Job stories.... my brain is now officially fried for this weekend. That took forever to edit and finish.
Anyhow, really looking forward to see what everybody else has come up with for this one.

Well, it would appear that I will not have my entry finished. I gave it a good shot, considering I started writing it on Monday.
I'm at 14k, the story is told, the sex scene is building up to play out ... but this will need a strong edit pass and certainly a second pass to correct things beyond misplaced commas.
Oh, well. It's a D&D story so it will work well for Geek Pride. Maybe even better for that than this. Plus a month gives me more time to work a few scenes.
Pirate's promise, I will get this one finished. Writing-wise, the last 8 months have sucked.
And not in a good way.

Same. I literally have the next morning scene to write and then it would need a HUGE edit so I'm out. I'm at 19,671 words and now it's never going to be finished.
Just too much going on in my life. I have taken on a bunch of sewing(why don't people know how to sew and why do I always get volunteered as someone who can sew and sure she'd love to fix your XXX and make you a XXX for your xxx)
I just got finished putting new cuffs, with thumbholes, on my daughter in law's hoodie and still have so much sewing I have to finish.
I hate that I can't write while I sew.

I hope these various stories do get finished and published eventually. With nearly 20,000 words done this one is obviously worth it. (I hope I haven't misinterpreted what you said.)
