It's been months since my last submission, and my first time uploading a file rather than putting the story text directly into the submission page, so I got a bit confused on the process. Sorry about that.

EC is not the friendliest crowd. They get a lot of stories sent their way, the authors are often inexperienced, and there aren't that many readers.

I've already had a 1* vote swept.

This is the second "event" I've posted in that got attacked when it went live. I wonder if the trolls have started targeting events intentionally. I don't have stories for "On the Job" or "Geek Pride" but I'll be curious to see if they suffer troll attacks as well.

I've noticed that they are running sweeps already. I haven't kept track of this before, but I thought sweeps weren't usually done on the first day - perhaps more attention from the administrators because it's an event?

I can't testify to the "Event" bomber or not. I slept in and missed the opening gun and the second and third volley. The score is under 4 with a whole 19 votes but then again the story ain't exactly a fuck fest.

Maybe Laurel can use the "Events" to target trolls in return. Oh God, I just realized, We're bait.

ETA: Uh, Laurel is watching! I just rechecked my story and it now has 14 votes and a score over 4 but not quite 4.5.

That troll is a busy basement boy. I got swept and right away it’s back. Rotflmao. Time for another troll hunting story. I think I’ll make it an LW cuck who trolls Literotica writers after his wife ran off with a Literotica hookup whose delivered up for a gay werewolf biker gangbang. I have just read 3 straight:- Chloe's, Keith D's and Melissa Baby's. Excellent stuff. MB and Chloe captured their environment well. Keith D almost too well. I only remember Beirut as a very young person before the war. The destruction of Beirut makes Notre Dame look almost insignificant.

Thanks. I had suppressed memories of Beirut until Hypoxia mentioned it as a possibility for this "One Night in XXX" exercise. I was in Beirut both before and after the civil war there. Such a difference. And one of my scariest experiences was being sent back in in September 1982 with a bus and a driver and list of relatives of my office third-country nationals' relatives to try to pull out of the Shitila refugee camp near Beirut before an impending Israeli-assisted attack of the camp by the Phalangists. Heart rending both tracking people down in the camp and then trying to convince them to leave. Those who wouldn't undoubtedly were massacred in a matter of days later.

Laurel's early sweeps seem to be pretty aggressive. My story is in SciFi&F, which is something of a backwater, so it's had a total of seven votes cast. I now have three votes remaining, because the site swept four. The sweeps took a 1* and 2* (one of the first three votes), which was much appreciated. It's hard to guess how much of that ride is because of the event and how much is from EC's sometimes odd behavior. My "Pixie by the Pool" was down-voted every time it went over 4.5, and it didn't stay over 4.5 until after it fell off the EC hub. I went ahead and posted the rest of the Pixie stories to EC, but the voting was strange.

Right. Ten minutes after being posted, one of my stories (which would take way more than ten minutes to read) received its first slam vote. Welcome to Literotica.

I logged in just before going to bed last night and must have caught my story just as it posted. 4 one votes right off the bat. I went to bed wondering if this one was going down the tubes.

It was up to 4.3+ this am but there's a flurry of one votes going on and drove it back down to 4.16 on 140+ votes. Like M said it's a rollercoaster.

It appears there is a sweep going on while the votes are going. My vote totals are going up and down. That's a first to me.

This is fun. Many more stories than I expected. Don't think I'll have time to read them all, but I'll keep coming back for more. Melissa just got some from me, at least.

My very first vote was a 3. It's gone now. Threes seem to be becoming more popular, like the troll thinks he'll get under the radar with it. No such luck for this one!
