When did you drive through Portland last?

I was shocked to see it a few weeks ago. I've been home so long and blind to the devastation.

A year ago. This last January. Shit again? We'll be headed down the Oregon coast again in January. We usually take 101 down. Then come back up I-5

Camas was beautiful. It just sucked that there were five accidents on I-5 on the way down. It took me 3.5 hours to get there from Tacoma.

I did take a few pics of the area if Sassy wants to see them.

Driving the Oregon coast is beautiful. Driving near Tillamook you’re right on the coast. Great drive. If you want to make time driving I5.
There’s a place just south of Ana Cortes Wa. Beautiful view. There’s a bridge that goes over an inlet. Awesome view.

It's really different than when I was little. I've lived in this area almost my entire life, and the unhoused community really is taking over. But, that being said, Eugene is very diverse, pretty friendly towards LGBTQ+, hippyish... I love this area

I stayed in a hotel with no internet that night and drove home the next morning.
Biggest surprise? Having to have someone pump my gas.
I felt bad just because there was a light rain and the time it was in the morning.

The bridge I meant is south of anacortes Wa. It is a narrow bridge HIGH above the water. Beautiful view.

Gotta love that quick snow dump/windstorm. Lost power for about 24 hours or so but I'm so grateful for our Utility people getting it back on. Almost 50K without in just my county.
