Palemoon's Wondrous Lunar Cavern

Fine...

*rolls eyes. Then rolls out an array of many generations of Nintendo Entertainment Systems.*

Pick your poison.

I show up called by the lure of old school video games.

"When you get back to the Commodore I call a game or Archon. I can kick some ass at Archon."

I don't know that game. Perhaps we can play sometime. I am a lover of old school video games. Memories... Putting off homework to make one more level on Jump Man. Fighting with my brother because he always cheated. Memories...

Ooooh, Alice In Wonderland. *pit, pat, pit, pat, pit, pat, fffftfftfftfftfftfftfft*

How do you like my sound effects?

"Archon looked kind of like chess, but whenever you landed a piece on another piece you fought and whoever lost lost their piece. I played Jump Man and Jump Man Jr. Never played Alice in Wonderland. Played a lot of Spy Hunter and Baggitman."

"When we broke our last controller I was devastated. It was completely my fault, but still. Then I had an idea. I figured my sega controller would fit in the keyboard just as well and it might work. Lo and behold I was back in business. I was so mad when my parents threw it out while I was in college."

Threw it out?

*gives a consoling hug*

Ours died. I blame my brother. Everything was his fault. That's why I don't like to play vidoe games with boys.

*winks*

I am older now. Maybe I can make an exception.

*pulls out the old 64 and hooks it up to its 15" color monitor. Pulls out a giant bin of giant floppy disks.*

Here, see if you can find Arhcon...Argon...or whatever it is and entertain yourself. I have to go to a metting in tbe real world that is completely meaningless.

*winks and flips her skirt up as she walks away*

I'm so lost. I think it was before my time. I was but a wee kitten back then I believe. My first vague memories are of Atari. I cut my teeth on NES though. Then came the Sega Genesis and SNES. I was so proud when I got the SNES. I saved up my allowance for ever to afford it.

Zelda, a link to the past. Nothing looked as awesome as it did that day...

Nostalgia is fun sometimes...

Anyway. Random link time: Lindsey Stirling - Zelda Medley

Goddammit, do I love Zelda.

And as good as Link to the Past was, Ocarina of Time is far and away the best.

I dig the floppy out of the pile.

"This is the one!"

Archon

I put the disk into the drive and boot up the Commodore. Then I type away the old commands.

Go 64.

Load "*" ,8,1

The game flickers to life for whenever the beautiful moon wants to play it. In the mean time I smile and get in some practice.

A new story!!!

*Scavenging through the drawer of the old oak side table, I find it. A long piece of yellowed parchment made of hemp with words written in iron ink. It is my list of those who I desire to write with. I look at it, seeking her name. I thought it was near the top. Oh, yes, I just missed it.

I dip my quill into the ink well and place a long check mark next to Luna Wolf72. Making a note "story in the works. Theme and setting decided. Characters being created. All is well."

I smile, feeling quite giddy. I look at who is left on my growing list. Two special friends at the very top. I'm so glad to know them and hope to write with them soon. For now, I have committed to four threads. Two in progress and two in the works. These, plus an e-mail story and an ongoing IM role-play are all I can commit to now.

It feels good to write. I hope to get better as I go. I'm so grateful to write with friends who challenge me and inspire me. I want to be better, and I know I can be because of them.

Rolling up the parchment and placing it back in the drawer. I sit back and relax on the red couch with a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon.*

1,800 views in this silly little thread of mine. I am amazed. It must have been the sexual scenes. I need to write more sex here...

Boobs, tits, breasts, pussies, cunts, thighs, nipples, butts, asses, mounds, bush!

Yep, that's her!

Random words thrown together...

I am glass,
fragile,
You are a cold, heavy hammer,
shattering me into a thousands pieces,
A thousand more of me,
but still only one of you.

I am glass,
I reflect the beauty of others,
back to them,
You are steal,
You are cold, you hurt..
You break

I am a window for others to see through,
on their darkest day,

I am glass,
I am fragile,
but others will mend me,
only to see themselves in me once more

I would throw a gif out there but it would just end up not working. So I will applaud you here.

*slow clap*

I like it. I'm not big on poetry either writing or reading but I enjoyed this. I might be biased though so don't quote me.

I just wanted to post this somewhere for all to read, for all to comment on. My cavern has been empty as of late. I have been neglecting my home to tend to others. I always wanted to hang up an inspirational saying somewhere.
