Pegasus' Wings (Mecha Lounge)

Ha, good answer, very politik.

Any luck with your star wars idea yet?

Sadly no.
Though like you said in the other thread about the gundam RP.
My idea may be better off in a non-sexual setting.
Also I'd like to do something outside the box =D
Grey jedi, force users who don't have Jedi training.
And also do more force unleashed over the top force powers.
Like ever wonder why Jedi and force users can flig objects even a rare starship or two at each other.... But can't fucking fly?
Yeah I want to use the force in a lot of well odd ways =D

Fun random fact. Space Griffon VF-9's main mech is a Veritech Valkyrie from Macross/Robotech.

nods that's pretty much the direct opposite to my Star Wars thread. Where me and my co-writer Sia Klynn are working hard to fit it into what's been established in the movies (Revenge of the Sith particularly) and the EU.

that's probably the sticking point for any interest. Any potential co-writer can't wrap their brains around how it would work.
Maybe you should try starting it off with what people have seen and then have the jedi character learn greater and greater feats with the force and become more grey as the thread progresses. That way your co-writer will be able to start off at a normal place in the SW universe then take the overtopness you want in chunks they can wrap their brains around on.

Yeah.
But I'd have to find someone first =D
my writing skills suck so yeah, not many people want to RP.
But it's a double edge sword.
If no one will RP, and help me get better I won't ever get better =D
Still I'm not against normal Star Wars RPs either.
But as fun as it is to follow the main story.
I'm more for going off the beaten path =)
Jedi and Sith have been fighting for over 4000 years so =D little something different is always good.

I think that the Crystallized Photon weapons of the Phantasy Star Online universe are more realistic than the Lightsaber.

Yeah.

Nods
Agreed, I'm sick to death with the old overused storyline of Jedi falling to the darkside.

damn, I was hoping to see how you'd pull it off. Personally I don't think a grey Jedi is possible, (You're either dark or light there's no in between) and my one complaint with TUF is the over the top force powers. So I was intrigued if it could be accomplished well or not.

No arguments here. I hate it when my fellow SW geeks try to explain SW tech using our actual current understanding of science.

It isn't supposed to be scientifically accurate in the first place, people.

Most of them fail miserably because they don't understand the basic construction of the lightsaber in the first place.

Point one...THE CRYSTAL IS NOT THE FECKING POWER SOURCE YOU ASSHATS....erhm. Sorry, but everyone who was interviewed by socalled genius Michiu Kaku for the Science Channel said the crystal was the power source. If any of them had read ANY of the books or other documentation, they'd know the power source is a single hyperdrive igniter cell. The crystal is actually part of the light generation/focusing array. And all it actually does is act as a prism to give the blade its color and oscillational frequency.

Point 2, a lightsaber IS possible, however, it would not use magnetic fields like Michiu or anyone else seems to think. The only way to control visible light is with gravitic fields, not magnetic, which poses an entirely different type of danger.

See that...that's what I don't like.
It's a fucking laser sword it works in the laws of physics of that universe leave it at that people. Stop complicating my space fantasy.

edit: sorry Razor, that wasn't intended to sound sooo well...rantish.

Though if you want to get technical, a blade made of Crystallized Photons is technically a lightsaber.

lol yeah I like that =D
It's a damn lightsaber, something of fantasy!
so be it if some weird or odd way to make it real, leave it be.
I like my sci-fi laser/energy swords thank you very much.

Bring on the Force Swords (like in the Star Ocean games)

Hehe you say that and why not make a Star Wars force sword?
If the force can pick things up, crush starships to the size of a tin can, and throw people around like rag dolls.
Why not use them as a cutting force?
Like we see in so many animes, how about almost invissble blades of air that acr and cut through things?

Lol. Force Sword is what Star Ocean calls a rather unique weapon. Imagine a beamsaber with the output of a battleship class beam cannon. Now imagine it being small enough for a human to wield.

=D
Sounds fun.
The only two Gundam Beam sabers on that level are I think the Zeta's powered up final attack beam saber trick, and the 00 Raisers combine beam saber move.

Heh. It's actually funny because there's a rather beautifully done scene in the original SO game where Ilia picks it up, examines it, and turns it on. It's so powerful that her hair and clothes are fluttering from the air rushing away from the blade.

Yeah, that would be 4. And yes, TTEoT was strange. It took place in a virtual world created and modeled after the galaxy in the time about a thousand years after the events of the first game, or something like that.

My favorite character was Nel =)
I need to track down a hentai manga of her and her commander at some point =D

Didn't play it, sure it'd be fun to see those two though =D

If you have a PSP, get the remakes, First Departure and Second Evolution (but the name changes irritated me in Second Evolution, as did turning Rena into a 14 year old girl in voice and appearance)

Checks pockets and wallet. Only thing to come out of either is a moth

Hmmm I will keep it in mind.

You could also emulate the original versions, though you'll have to download DeJap's translation patch for the first game.
