These are my girls a few years ago. The white one is my westie, Casey, and the brown one is my 14yo mixed, Lady. Both are the sweetest things, and believe they are just furry children. I don't know what I would do without a pet in the house!

Very cute. I like how buddie looks as if he's drinking out of a bottle.
lol yer, whenever he goes out he collects them :S and spends hours opening them and chewing them to bits!

Hey, it rhymes!

Thanks, Bluebell. I think you're spiffy as well.

I have a pet pet peeve. Kitty cats who think it's cool to curl up underneath a blanket or couch coverslip and then make you feel all guilty when you accidentally sit on them.

Well I do declare, we might just be spiffy enough to head to the ball with our dandies!

Heh. Nothing like a hissy growl and a claw in the ass.

I just adore when my father's cat climbs all over me and squishes his fur against my face so that I:
1) Can't breathe.
2) Get a mouthload of cat hair.

I think what really tops it all off, though, is when he shoves his furry, purring, drooly face into my own and then rubs his fishy gums all over my nose.
That is really just awesome.
He's still a cute little goober, though. I love him.

Hey. Glad to see you weren't ushered off into the same mystery world as Daizie.
Oh, and that ant comment is funny. I laughed. Damn, I wish I'd thought of it.

Nah, I couldn't figure out how to get them to wear the tiny collars.

Securities Class Action Lawsuits

I'm mad as hell. These damn securities class actions are a bloody pain in the arse. These effin' extortionists (excuse me, I meant tort lawyers) are in the business of manufacturing lawsuits they can use to shake down company managaements through sheer annoyance. Then, the scumballs take a quarter to a third of the damn bribes managements have to fork over to make the yapping dogs go away. Meanwhile, I end up being forced to spend hours and hours digging through trade confirmations that are three, four and five years old in order to find the relevant pieces of paper. Then, I have to spend another couple of hours filling out the effing "Proof and Release of Claim Forms," followed by schlepping over to the library or office supply store to make copies of all this blasted paper. Two years later (if the frickin' lawyers haven't stolen or pissed away the settlement proceeds) a check will (finally) emerge out of all this effort on my part- usually a pittance. And, of course, I don't have a choice- it's essentially coercive; if I don't file a claim, then (to the extent there are any settlement funds) the pot only gets shared out amongst the shareholders who dutifully filed a claim. This is one of the biggest goddamn rackets in all of Christendom.

What's particularly irksome is that, given the quality of the stocks that I own, the decline in share price is usually ephemeral and the temporary decline is often nothing more than a superb buying opportunity. The only people who end up losing any money, in the long run, are the dolts who panic and sell. Needless to say, the scummy lawyers make out like bandits because the dopey judges who preside over these cases are, for the most part, utterly clueless about securities valuation and sagacious investing.

Eh? What's that you say? Oh, I thought this was Lorali's Pet Peeve thread :) . Ooops.
"Never mind."

Ironically, Venetian "beef" jerky tastes like cat.*

...I’d like to take the opportunity to assure the committee that I myself have not tasted cat. I did lick one once, in college, but I didn’t inhale.
