Photography: Post your photos here

That's an awesome picture McKenna! Gotta love how sometimes your camera is just in the right place, at exactly the right time eh?

Consequently, I've pretty much run out of new material to photograph in my area.. well, in my interest at least. I have to start branching out though and doing more than just scenery shots, anyone have any recomendations/ideas as to where to go next? (i'm horrible at portraits/people photography... so that's definitely not my next step) Or just ideas of what you'd like to see in nature.. Another thing I have to work on is macro-photography, but I never think to shoot closeups, really..

So I took a long-ass drive today, like about six hours worth. This road goes through eastern Oregon and western Idaho. Very, very beautiful, especially this time of year. It's also a very remote and isolated area. My favorite kind. :)

Here are a couple of photos from the day:

Love them McKenna, thank you for posting in here, it makes me grin any time someone uses my thread :)

I honestly like the first one better, more noticable texture, balanced composition.. great pic! :)

Ok, here goes...
I think the first one is the best I've ever taken in my life.... the rest just silly snapshots of the pooches I used to have....

McKenna - great photos - I'll have to get you to make more of them, that's some really "photogenic" scenery you've got there.

I haven't taken anything really neat lately, here's yesterday's dinner:

Tolyk, a good thing you can experiment on is just working with composition, finding interesting shapes and patterns and positioning them to create pleasing photos.

As an example - guess what's wrong with the composition of the photo I've attached.

Very nice Elfie :) Love the first one especially.

Summer, I was asking for opinions on content, not composition. :) Thanks though.

Thanks. It was taken at sunset and the last one was at sunrise. I loved these two pics.

This needs revived. How about something from 'back home' when we visited last year? This was taken on the first day of summer. It was snowing.

Good Afternoon *Tol*

Yeah, the nut & leaf. Good contrasts, is that cement or hard ground that it's on?
