Planetary Nebula ❤️❤️❤️

This is what grief is.
A hole ripped through the very fabric of your being.
The hole eventually heals along the jagged edges that remain. It may even shrink in size.
But that hole will always be there.
A piece of you always missing.
For where there is deep grief, there was great love.
Don’t be ashamed of your grief.
Don’t judge it.
Don’t suppress it.
Don’t rush it.
Rather, acknowledge it.
Lean into it.
Listen to it.
Feel it.
Sit with it.
Sit with the pain. And remember the love.
This is where the healing will begin.

I love you 💔❤️❤️❤️

Hello folks.
I, as many of you did, considered Nebs to be a good friend. We had plans for me to visit her when I came east this summer. Well, life or rather death, had other ideas and now we will not be sitting together sharing a festive rainbow drink.
Instead, I will be visiting her grave, pouring one out and sharing some time with her. I have a poem and some other things that folks have passed on to share. If you have anything you'd like me to share please let me know and I'd be happy to.
Best,
PG

She felt it.

Today I went to say goodbye to our dear friend @PlanetaryNebula. Nebs was wickedly funny, could see the good in almost everyone, and made us all feel seen and supported.

@Dubinsky thank you for meeting me, for finding out which grave was hers, and for sharing coffee and conversation so I could go and sit with her with a clear head and open heart.

Her grave does not have a headstone yet but it had daisies and some mums. I placed a sun windchime in a nearby oak tree to fill the air with music and added a wreath, hydrangeas, and two rainbow pinwheels to the grave so she would have beauty and whimsy adorn her resting place.

Then I sat and talked with her. I shared your stories, memories and music. With the playlist @morelikeasong made I read every person's name that shared here or in PM’s what an impact Nebs had on them. I read your memories and poems and support for her family and her friends.

Nebs you are deeply missed and your light and pure spirit will continue to inspire us all.

It's a special place. It's quieter than Nebs ever was, but no less beautiful.

If anyone's ever in this neck of the woods, PM me and I can give you directions. That goes for anybody who wants to go for a Nebs Visit. I miss her terribly, and I could feel her today. Thanks, @Photog1rl, for remembering her with me.

Oh, fuck, I am crying again. But this time not in sorrow. Well, only a little bit. This is beautiful, what you have done, both of you. And reading to her. And quiet can be good, but the wind chimes? Perfect. Just perfect. Whimsy and music. Perfect.

This world is full of angry, cold, bitter people, and it is often easy to become buried in that noise. Thank you for reminding me, and everyone, that there is beauty in the world. Utter, pure beauty, in people, in hearts, in spirits, in stories and songs. People wouldn't believe you could find that online, much less a place like this. Those people are fools.

I needed this. And I will smile every time I hear a wind chime. Every time. Thank you, more than I can put into words, thank you.
