It makes you, unlike most poets, able to pay the rent?
Car fare to get out of town, Jorey Graham, and the Pulitzer committee are looking for me...again.

Twelveoone... get your hands on a recording of her reading. She is not overly animated and at times seems uncomfortable in the reading, but ignore that, listen to how she uses the words in the poetry, listen to the sound and the rhythm it generates. I used to look at her as an interesting oddity until I heard her read her poetry... it changed my outlook completely.

Ariel is well worth the money... I think her best book.

jim : )

On your recommendation, I got the Restored Edition with some Christmas money - hard bound, I hope I don't off myself reading it.

Nice to see you around 1201

I hope the Restored Edition doesn't get you down too much.

I still think her poetry is the longest most boring suicide note in history but what do I know.

The forward was nice, gave me a new appreciation for Ted Hughes, man must have been a saint.

I'm going on a plath diet--a plath a day.
I just read Bitter Strawberries. In my opinion, not bad if you cut the middle out. Too bad she didn't get a chance to post to literotica. I wonder if you guys would have made her cry.
