Do you snag all the typical fetish wear your budget allows, or do you tend to look at your local thrift shop with a discerning eye?

As far as my budget goes, I'm at both ends of the spectrum. I order the cheapest thing on the menu but drool and easily fork over the cash for a "to die for corset".... and my eye always has a kink in mind when I'm browsing.... you never know when you're gonna find the perfect prop at a STEAL.

For example.... this awesome find below, to the untrained eyes, is a nothing more than a seasonal item, but to freak pet like me, it's instant fun! Put these on while playing pool naked ! I already wear a bell charm on a bracelet anyway 24/7 because he says it's comforting to hear me jingling through the house and i like it too. The gentle jingling is strangely soothing (go figure). So i definitely dress/shop for my kinks.

As I mentioned in a previous post, I do dress up - have some fetish wear but not a lot - a short PVC skirt, a satin black and burgundy corset, a black and white leather bustier. When I Top, I am very much of a practical frame of mind - don't wear the corset - I will dress, but like to have full range of motion. Also, due to an old ankle injury that never properly healed, I can't wear fetish shoes (thank the Goddess! honestly, I think that they're a lot of fun and if I could, I would, and then I'd be in even more debt, LOL!) I am more likely to do the corset when I'm planning to bottom, although then, it of course comes off, LOL.

When I do dress, it often tends towards fantasy, role-playing and camp. I like camp - I like to take on a role, it helps put me in a mood and it's fun! And I try to get creative with my everyday clothes - except for the opera/symphony, it's the one time you'll see me in a dress, even though I consider myself to be femme.

A lot of the public play parties here will have theme nights, everything from Secretary nights to pajama parties, from vampire evenings to... But people can also be fairly laid back in how they dress (the polysexual/queer - vs. womyn's - events seem to play with it more). I would also love to do drag (although with my bust, that is constraining) to play with a boi or bi boy... (I have done so before with a bi male lover, but never to do BDSM play.)

Ooooooh, Madama! Or, er, Miss Rebecca! Wow. I just watched a little documentary on pbs here about geishas. I had seen something similar a few years back, but this time I watched as a submissive.

I hope this isn't too much of a hijack, but when I think about my submission - well, there are a lot of aspects of the geisha that resonate with me. Being attentive, serving food/drink in a particular way, ritual aspects of service, care in the way you are presented....I could go on and on!

Kinky clothing

I don't think I have ever purchased a piece of fetishwear in my entire life, aside from a punk store or two... Wait, I take that back. I still have my 4 inch heeled corset-lacing boots. I put those on anytime I want to put forth a "bitch goddess" image. Whenever I get around to playtime (I'm more D/s than bondage in most times of my life), I'm not wearing anything. I'm a thrasher when I am bottoming and I don't want to damage anything, heheheh.

Anything else I own that I could consider kinky clothing was given to me, purchased at a venue other than a kink clothing store, or made by me. I am currently crocheting a black minidress with red lacing up the back and I am really excited about finishing it soon.

I don't buy fetish clothes. I "buy" or collect, what I like and want. If that just happens to include corsets, teddies, bustiers, boots, leather and vinyl dresses, pants, tops and skirts, and various silk things as well as much more oh well.

I tend to call it my Ho or Hochie Mama wear. The problem is finding safe places to wear such. I also have no place to wear dressy clothes.

Purchasing online through websites (or even eBay) might work, but you will be responsible for any duty fees/taxes your country's customs office applies, but even then, the Euro is killing the US dollar at the moment, so if you can purchase things online from America, the currency exchange might work out to be affordable, even with VAT taxes, etc.

For a fetish photo shoot my model and I found a pink corset with g-string and a leather skirt for $15 each. Interestingly that was at a costume shop. Who would have thought?

The outfit i bought in the picture was not in a lingerie shop either. It was in a goth shop and they had it in with just the shirts on a shirt rack. It was such a steal i had to buy it and you can't see if from the pictures but the material is black with tiny red vertical pinstripes.... smokin!!!!!!!!
