13 was the year I started writing seriously and changed my career goal from geneticst to writer. I suppose I was geeky, although I didn't think if it that way then - I was a smart confident creative loner who didn't dance, didn't date, and thought I was destined to have the world be my oyster. What a difference from now, when I am a poor lonely artist with my biological clock going off.
