Porn: Where has all the eroticism gone?

I am going to reply to the og, late of course, but forgive me. And before reading other replies which will say much of what I will be saying and no doubt theirs will be more eloquent.

It was really hard to access porn back in my youth. Now it is so damn easy comparatively speaking.

We can connect via anonymous webcams and mutually masturbate to each other. Hearing and talking and viewing. I love it and wouldn't ever want to go back to those distant times.

I like to edge now with like minded folks. I have only recently become bi curious and still wouldn't have the courage to do anything irl. But now I can interact with others in my exact same situation without judgments and fear of being found out. It is spirit freeing for me.

Well enough of my silly ramblings and reminiscing of times of olde and read others thoughts for a bit.

I do agree that in today's society of instant gratification and live streaming webcams, it's straight to the finish line.

I remember back to the late 70's, and my teen years dad remarking that there was a VHS tape in his work bag of I wanted to watch it after he and Mom went to bed. "Just put it back in my bag when you've finished watching it."

It was the first porn tape I had seen, but I remember a scene where a woman fell off her horse and her riding skirt rode up showing her panties. Oh course the hero turns up, and while she recovers from the fall, one thing leads to another.

What I did not expect was mom coming downstairs, so I quickly rewound the tape a bit. Just in time, because she opened the door to the front room. I said I was up late watching a film, to my horror she sat down to watch it.

Well things started getting sexy, and moms face turned red. Not only what was on the screen but my obvious erection. In my panic I asked the first thing that came into my head.
"Mom, are your breasts as big as hers?"

She stood up embarrassed, with a curt, "I'm your mum, if you must
know I'm a C cup, she's at least a DD."

She headed for the door with her last words of, "Don't make a mess."

A short while after I heard their headboard hitting the wall through the ceiling.

Next day dad just smiled at me.

Yeah I know. To each his/her own and whats erotic to one person can often be vulgar to another and vice versa. What ever gets through the night. (It's alright, it's alright) But please hear me out and I don't mean to sound like an old geezer. It's important to note that I am only speaking of pictures. I will address videos in seperate thread.

For me, the more natural look of the ladies in the 60s and 70s was much more erotic that those of today. Of course there are exceptions but the ladies of the 60s and 70s knew how to pose for the camera. The expressions on their faces was more a mixture of seduction and playfullness with a hint of innocence. It's as if they are trying to seduce you. And they were not surgically enhanced.

There is a phoniness to alot of the pictues I see online, here and elsewhere, that just doesn't do it for me. If I want to get off looking at pictures I will look and the ones from the 60s and 70s and into the 80s. I miss the curves. I miss the tanlines. Today, the models are mostly tatted up ( I absolutely hate tatoos), oiled down, often silicone enhanced ,and posed spread eagled to show you their shaved pussy. Not that I have anything against a shaved pussy, but there is certain naturalness of an unshaved but well trimmed one. Modern models do not use playful expressions. The vibe they give off is a simple basic "let's fuck" attitude. It's rare that they are photo shot with soft light. The backgrounds usually stark and barren.

I hope I am not alone in feeling this way. It would be a shame if I was.
super hot story; my wife is 63 and still super hot, can turn heads, love imagining her with others

To the original post: It has all to do with ROI....In the really old days ( even before VHS) ALL porn was shot on film....= EXPENSIVE and SLOW process.... Return On Investment ( ROI) was made exclusively in adult theatres. There were many and NOT so many movies. Therefore movies had to have a certain quality ( a story, many actors, locations, make up, visual effects... etc... etc...). Then came VHS ( in the early 80ties) and home cameras... So anybody could make " gonzo" movies, but there was no distribution, other then VHS rental stores ( and later DVDs). Again limited rental space and the Internet was in its infancy, BUT then VHS, DVDs went away and video technology became good and cheap and anybody could " distribute" via the Internet even the most amateurish porn. So now, the competition among the "traditional" producers and all the home or gonzo shit became fierce. And guess who mostly won? The producer shooting a real story driven adult stuff with a 100,000 dollar budget, or some " homie" who with his GF/Wife and 200 dollar camera shoots themselves fucking ? I believe the answer is sad but clear.

I will be 50 this year and my early days of porn was VHS tapes. To this day I prefer a bald pussy. I could care less if a woman has tan lines or not. And I love the Taboo series simply because it is about incest. I didn’t care they look like back then.

Also I don’t miss the 30 minute sex sessions. It would get boring after awhile. A 15 minute video is at times more than I really need. The only time I am interested in watching something that is let’s say on the 15 minute or longer range is when a woman is working up to a REAL orgasm. Usually it is the masturbating ones that have that.
That was so sexy to read 💦💦

We love the Dorcel films. They are sexy rather than sex and they are really well written / filmed. They have a bit of a story too and it’s almost believable in some of them lol

It’s a lot more erotic than a lot of the American ones we think and we like that a lot more 😊😊

I haven't read the thread, so I apologize if someone has already said it. Have a look in the "Female friendly" category. Strange, isn't it?

Soon, we will no longer be able to tell the difference between the fakeness of porn and CGI porn, everything will just blend into a single 'cartoon' category and that's where the genre belongs I would say, so no harm done.

As to eroticism, we all have to work throughout our sex lives to kindle it, and lit is one of its temples!
