Possible deportation executive orders in January

One of my best friends is from Mexico and he's explained that the real issue with mass illegals comes from the border leading into their country. All of South America comes running through there to make their way to the Mexico/US border and they do not have the money or manpower to close off their border.

If money and aid were given to Mexico to close it off down there-as in still let people through but only after a process-then it would fix most of the problems on this end.
Mexico will build a wall and the US will pay for it.

From what I've gathered they're going to go after the violent offenders first. The ones who have been repeatedly assaulting, stealing, raping, murdering us while repeatedly being freed. This also includes drug offenses, human trafficking and illegals entering the country with records. They're also going to go after the ones scamming all the various social services.

Pretty sure that's going to keep everyone's hands full for a while.

Oh yes, because Steve Bannon stole the money, went to prison and Trump pardoned him.
Turned out that having the wall wasn't so important really. It was just a dog whistle to rile up all those poorly educated voters.

Many Mexicans that were in the US illegally have returned to Mexico because of the significantly improved economic climate down there. Mexico is now the US's largest trading partner (due to Trump). But to your point, they are allowing themselves to be used as a conduit and that has to stop or be stopped.

Deportations per term under Obama, Trump, and Biden have ranged between around 1.5 million and 3 million with Obama leading the pack.

I’m not sure what number of deportations is necessary to achieve “mass deportation” status, but we’re certainly not going to see anything close to deportation of all of the estimated 11 to 14 million illegal aliens in the US today. Legal and budgetary hurdles coupled with pushback from industries that rely on illegal labor will limit how many deportations actually occur over the next four years. Five million or so might be an achievable figure.

I expect the biggest benefit from President Trump’s efforts will be deterring the number of attempts to enter and stay in the country illegally.

The hinge phrase is " born or naturalized in the United States". which is why it's mentioned first.

The order is unimportant, the "AND" ties it all together. But maybe we should all differ to you, you being the nationally renown Constitutional scholar that you are. :rolleyes:

Good luck on your expectations.

The words are in an order (even with the word, "and", for a reason. Else they would be reversed....and SCOTUS recognizes that. Many of their rulings rely specifically on the order of words.

People born here are citizens. Sorry that you hate that.
