Am I the only one that needed to look up "erudite"?

Probably the real reason he never came back to NE, us common ordinary folk ain't sophisticated enough. :(

You are not the only one who had to look up erudite. It is my mission in life to use words that Yank has to look up. I can only think of one time when I did, and now I can't remember what the word is. Then again, yank knows everything so I bet he remembers.

Anyway when I read this, MrWag, it made me laugh. ;)

One for you, Scaly: have you been back to the Kankamagus Highway to look at the site of the former Old Man of the Mountain?

OK, more questions.

EJFan: Do you eat oysters and/or crabs? How many times have you crossed the Chessapeake Bay bridge? Have you ever been to the original state capitol building in Annapolis? If so, does the grain of the marble walls remind you of anything?
yes... i eat both when i can but they're somewhat cost prohibitive (and not particularly healthy) even though they're local. unlike lobster in new england, which is reasonably priced for NE residents, crabs and oysters are 'spensive.

when i was a kid i used to crab with my father almost every weekend. i can remember him selling a bushel for $20-$30. now you can't even get a dozen for that price.

btw... LOVE oyster fritters. the local catholic church does a fried oyster and chicken & dumpling dinner a couple of times a year. it's the immaculate conception church, but i call it the immaculate CONTRAPTION church. and anyone who thinks there's a crab better than blue crabs is flat out wrong. i've had 'em all and blues are the absolute best. :)

i've crossed the bay bridge, but couldn't say how many tmies... not a lot and not a couple. over the last couple of years it's amazingly congested, particularly during rush hours and summer weekends.

i've been to the building... don't remember it at all. :(

Do you have any plans or hopes to do anything in particular when your youngest starts first grade?
We have all-day kindergarten around here, but my youngest will have to wait until she's 6 to start kindergarten because the cutoff date is August 1st and her birthday's near the end of August.

I'm completely undecided. Even though it's only part-time, my job still awaits me if/when I want it. I kinda like volunteering at the kids' school, though, and if I juggled my schedule, I could probably do both. The money would be nice, but we don't need it.

Maybe my hubby and I will play more golf. If I can get less bad at it.

Sure, now that you ask: Did you drop your glasses just before your av picture was taken?

I think they were YOUR glasses :p

EJ fan... if you've been asked this before, please forgive my memory. Is there a story behind your av?
Just moving it up in case EJ missed my very important question.

sorry cate... i didn't see it before. :( i should be flogged.

i put it on when i had the "chauvanist prick" title... it just seemed to fit and i never changed it.

it's a urinal i used while at a convention in nashville. i originally set out to take a picture of every "facility" at the convention center... but it got a little creepy (even for me) takin' pictures in all the restrooms, so i stopped after the first day.

had some great sex on that trip too... including a chick with a cast on her foot.

Guess you've forgotten about all those people who came out of Harvard, Yale, Dartmouth, Bowdoin, Bates, Smith, Amherst, MIT and places like that.

Oh, and speaking of MIT, that means that you forgot about Click and Clack, the Tappet Brothers: the two smartest guys on public radio on Saturday morning. Purebred NE guys!

OMG! I love Car Talk! Tom and Ray rock!

are you currently married or in a relationship? Sometimes I sense you are, sometimes I sense you are not. In other words, I haven't a clue.
I am married but I hope you won't hold it against me.
